Byrce or Wade Graham could have created something. BJ is a tough one, the bloke is a legit genius but when it comes off he is unstoppable

Haha i almost left BJ out there because i know state selectors are too risk adverse to select him, he'd either win you the game or lose you it. But his form right now is outrageous

I just think sometimes you need that guy, you need that x-factor. That game was crying out for an x-factor for the Blues and the best they could come up with was Dylan f**king Walker from the bench.

Sometimes you need a genius to make the play no one else has the stones... or rather is too smart to make...
I guess what im saying is Beej isnt the hero NSW deserves right now, but him, or someone like him might be the hero it needs

But more seriously Bryce Cartwright could have turned that game on it's f**king head last night with his second phase, running up against a tired and worn down QLD team in the final 15

Too much logic.

Can't have that whilst Bozo is a selector.

BJ Leilua should have been just about the first player picked for NSW. He has been light years ahead of any other NSW centre.

There's no reasonable argument to change the Blues team, a 4-4 draw apart from a penalty against a Qld. side that has had very few changes and won't be changed for SOO2.
The Blues supporters surely can get behind this team after last nights effort, I know us Maroon supporters would be backing our boys if we'd lost by just a penalty goal.

Besides the fact they cannot count, this is so cringe-worthy and pathetic from the Daily Tele:

Lol pathetic

TBH the 6 again and the Gagai play the ball were absolute howlers. The others are all 50/50 at best.

Since some are bringing up Farah's kicks to the in goal like they were works of art, he kicked the ball from dummy half straight into a QLD player and it just happened to go between Corey Parkers legs.

His next kick to the in goal was on the back of NSW's best set of the game on the 4th tackle when they had the QLD edge in all sorts and he kicked into a 5m gap. It was not that great of an option or play considering the circumstances and if not for Gagai's fumble it would have been very poor considering they had a good chance to score.

the kicks might have had some luck. But that's irrelevant. They delivered a good result. Using your logic and applying it to a different situation- Maloney's pass for the Cordner try was arguably forward. Its 'lucky' that wasn't called, but that's irrelevant- it wasn't called and therefore a good pass.

Farah also would have had the try assist for the morris 'no try', and no doubt would have polled dally m points if we won

There was plenty of times Qld failed to clear the ruck and slowed down the play the ball, but NSW would have also been guilty of that. We don't want 20 penalties in an origin game so penalise a team if they are over doing it but otherwise get on with it

NSW have to be confident going into Game 2. With so much going against them and having almost no luck, they still only lost by two.

The graphic above clearly shows the refs had a shocker, costing them field position and certain points against a tiring, ageing QLD side. Daley's call for new referrees was a sweetly timed jab from a tactical genius. Expect the officials to be more even handed in their approach next up, allowing the Blues to have a more level playing field.

Playing in Brisbne is sure to be of an advantage. Lang Park holds no fears for the NSW players these days. Players like Gallen, Bird, Klemmer et al feed off the hostile crowd and they are sure to dominate the smaller QLD forwards. These are players who have a history of backing words with actions.

Losing Game 1 will be the motivation NSW need and I expect them to be fired up and hungry. Winning the next two games is not that much of a hill to climb in the modern game. Fulton and Daley have proven over the years they know how to get the best out of this group and new combinations are set to fire. Reynolds and Walker are key players who are ready to explode at rep level.

I can't see how they go into Game 2 anything other than heavy favourites.

I think what Daley was most annoyed about is the ruck was allowed to be slowed down all night. Both teams did it but the slow play the balls really suited QLD because NSW wanted to tire out the QLD forwards.
