For game 2 Woods should start of the bench, he sometimes is overwhelmed at the beginning of the game and it leads NSW to be on the backfoot, would be better to ease him into the game as it progresses.

Laugh at NSW with that cherry picking of ref decisions.

Say after me, "We lost because Queensland were the better team and the refs had nothing to do with it".

You mean you'd back a team that's won 9 of the last 10 series and has guys like Boyd, Inglis, Thurston, Cronk, Scott, Parker, Smith etc

Wow man, that's so loyal

Yep, except we've been loyal to our team since Artie ran out in the first SOO.
Long before Inglis, Boyd, Thurston, Cronk, Scott, Parker, Smith etc.

It's so good we are talking about qld even in the losers thread. The 30 somethings all get what they deserve that is to name when they finish themselves. If qld get no injuries for games 2 and 3 and get to only use 17 again, players like myles and lillyman should announce this will be the last year they are putting up their hands. Next year that should be parker and slater. 2018 should finish cam Smith and Thurston. Even though some are different style players, these retirements would free places for Napa, Jake Friend, Milford, and val holmes.

that supposed o'neill that was reversed by the bunker came of Cordner's head anyway. O'Neill didn't touch it. the knock on was made by Moylan after it came off Cordner's head. correct decision for mine.

Ok. Get Leilua into the team. JMoz has given great service to the Blues over the years, but he clearly looks old and slow now.

It's not the squad I would've picked at the beginning of the series, but it's the best I reckon that can get the job done while providing some continuity from Game 1, while also taking into account the realities of the situation (i.e., selectors).

FB: Moylan
RW: Ferguson
RC: Leilua
LC: Jennings
LW: Mansour
RH: A Reynolds
LH: Maloney
AH: Ennis
P: Tamou
P: Woods
MF: Gallen
RF: Frizell
LF: Cordner

I: Lewis
I: Klemmer
I: Fifita
I: J Trbojevic (token Manly player - there has to be one)

There is no way there will be that many changes in game 2

Big Friz in for Cordner and that's all she wrote. You know it's coming

Graham for Cordner. Cartwright for Walker. Any more changes than that would amount to panic.

I wouldn't have selected Farah in the first place, but all fit game 1 selections must be retained so long as the series is alive. Except Walker who was a selection direct from wacky wacky la la land.

I agree with minimal changes but Walker must go although it isn't his fault he was picked in the first place. Dugan may come into calculations as well if fit.

you're probably right. I could go further though tbh. as i said, it still isn't the exact squad I wouldve selected for the series.

If Cordner's injured, then there's a definite right there. but it won't be frizell. frizell plays on the right. cordner is a LF. Graham is the like for like, plus he has the combination with Maloney down Cronulla's left side. but frizell should replace Jackson on the right side anyway.

To me, Farah's non-negotiable. It doesn't matter who you have in the halves and at fullback and at prop or on the edge if Farah is doing what he always does. he stifles the tigers play, and as I have said for several years now, he stifles NSW's play. his stats look good, but that's just it, their his stats and he plays to inflate them first rather than play the correct option to enhance the chances of the team to win. do you ever see Smith, Thurston, or Cronk try and do it all? Thurston is generally is quieter in origin than at NQ because every one is capable at rep level to do their job.

Walker was a poor choice and we all know that. It wasn't his fault. Lewis is playing extremely well and can cover so many more positions, has experience, and is still f**king good footballer. more importantly, he can be used before the 70th minute.

Bird isn't the same player he was two years ago the last time he represent NSW. he does too many of the jinking runs that go nowhere rather than take it to the line. There's an argument that Gillet does same for QLD, but Matt is harder to bring down and lays a platform for the next play. Bird doesn't do that and is more likely to give away penalties. Put Gallen in the #13 jersey (it doesn't matter if he's 8 10 or 13, they're all middle positions) and bring in another middle forward/prop onto the bench for the middle rotation alongside Klemmer and Fifita. These two did the job against McGuire and Papalli in the middle of the game and it was Farah's meddling and poor organisation in the attacking 20, that thwarted this dominance conversion into points. I just picked J Trbojevic as another Fulton token selection.
