While NSW supporters crap on about insignificant individual selections, this time the non-Tedesco and Walker, QLD sit back in camp pleased that Gal, Robbie and G-Bird will be on the park doing what they always do - padding their stats for their own benefit and no effective contribution to the Blues overall game. Two hit up a set Gal, run across the field from acting half Robbie, and jinking stepping get dominantly tackled Bird make it all so easy for QLD to get a result in these series. They know the rest of the NSW team will be ineffectual when these guys get regularly involved. These players don't make other players play well so it doesn't matter who else is selected. They don't let them.

Congratulations QLD.

This is the reality. People whinging about Walker should be annoyed at the ridiculous way he was utilised more than the selection. He is a very good player and I agree that Teddy should be there... that's without going into the absolutely inexplicable selection of slow, ineffective plodders like Josh Jackson over Friz/Cartwright.

But the reality is the main players in this side are losers. They aren't fresh, they aren't young, they're good footy players but have been beaten over and over again by this maroons juggernaut and they try to do it all themselves...and they stifle the entire side.

It's hard enough going up there when you know we won't get a 50/50 and we'll lose the penalty count, but to not freshen up this side means we aren't giving ourselves the best chance to tie up the series. Losing in Sydney was unacceptable, and I can't see any reason why Qld won't wrap up the series here.

What a crap team.

My only solace is that I once again get to watch Adam Reynolds fail miserably at halfback.

I like Wade Graham, he's a good NRL player. He does remind me of a slightly better version of Josh Jackson though - good defender but pretty vanilla in attack. Even his team mate Luke Lewis would've been a better option IMO.

I think they'll be wanting another 80,000 crowd in Sydney for game 3, which they won't get for a dead rubber. Hence look for a nice big 10 metres which will suit the NSW backline, and NSW to get the better of decisions in this one.

Played well in Origin, brought his club back to back spoons. I wouldn't have wanted him at my club.
Lololol

You do realise it's a team sport, right?

You wouldn't want a two time Dally M Medallist and one of the greatest players of the last 25 years at your club because he had the misfortune of being surrounded by a team of plodders almost his entire career?

That's easily the dumbest thing I've ever read on here. Congrats.

Not a shame just utter stupidity on his behalf. Why was there a need to go and coat hanger the bloke when you know there is Origin around the corner. Cartwright is better anyway and QLD would rather Bryce wasn't picked!

lol Thurston slips pretty badly into the tackle, which contributes massively to the highness of it

Bet he contests it and gets off

Every bit of the above is Wrong

Errr how so? It's a f**ked team. Too many players picked on reputation, not current form. Plus the token baffling manly selection. The whole NSW Origin system needs a clear our from the top down

It was your common garden variety coathanger. He's fortunate to get a Grade 1. If Ricketson and Smith can miss Grand Finals, Graham can miss an origin game.

I feel sorry for Graham but if he gets off it will be a disgrace. Thurston was falling but barely and this was a genuine coat hanger. If he wasn't picked for origin he would accept the 1 week as he knows it is a fair punishment.

Napa just got 1 week for almost an identical coathanger.

He contested and was unsuccessful. Which probably means that Graham will get off.

Hayne was excellent in origin but many players are better over the last 25 years. Many many.

Disagree. If Hayne didn't switch codes I'd have no doubts he would have become the greatest player ever, and he probably still is in the top 10 greatest atleast.
