Lol fiction? It’s a quote from Vlandys! Last month melbourne2 was top of their agenda, this month PNG is top of the list. Can’t wait to see who’s favourite next month.
Anyone with half a brain would realise Melbourne two was a wind up t your bff gill after he got stuc having to add tasmania

afl got 500 million from the feds to assist with a team in a tiny irrelevant state in Australia whilst league will be getting the same amount for a team in a nation of 17 million

lmao

You're kidding yourself mate. 17 million people earning $5 a day...
The gate takings is Tasmania will far exceed that of PNG beyond measure.

I honestly don't think you actually understand png at all. Firstly, a vast majority of the population live in the hills in tribes and nobody actually has any idea on the population as they don't read, write or fill out surveys lol. There's a 1000+ different dialects and language spoken across the country, they still eat people, yes! Probably the last place on earth that exists. The vast majority of people are small because of malnutrition and genetics.

PNG needs roads, not better roads - actual roads, cars, blackboards and teachers, police, doctors, hospitals.
Not a f**king rl team.

Book yourself a flight to png and please tell us of the riches that the NRL are in waiting....

I bet you won't because you want to live!
There's no chance we're putting an NRL team there!
Won't even risk a fixture at this point.

Get your shit together mate.

I know people who work there, inside a compound with armed guards. You can't go outside the compound. A guy I know was working there and for a week couldn't come back because it was too unsafe to leave the compound.

Port Moresby only has a population of 400k, alright if the medium income is 70k but it's far below that in png.
How many of those 400k can afford a Jersey and a $40 ticket?
The actual gate takings would be horrendous. Then there's the extra security, flights, hotels ect.
The current operating costs for NRL teams are like 20 million, png would be more like 30.

These moronic ideas about basing them in Cairns , to keep them safe during the week
then flying them in on game day for the match has spiders all over it

FIFO NRL players ?
f**k that shit off

thats for mining companies , not our sport

Stop talking bullshit. You did no such thing. Who was in the Podcast?

You know absolutely nothing about things are going in NZ. Have a look at a few of the threads in the Warriors forum, the one about Waikato will tell you more.

You are full of shit, pure and simple.
lol - I linked it earlier in this thread and you commented on it saying that a guy that doesn't covers sport for a living doesn't know what he's talking about....

Again, stacked Warriors pathways, record number of Kiwis in the NRL (and probably lower levels of clubs other than the Warriors), Warriors crowds destroying RU crowds.... yeah the game is really struggling, who is full of shit again?

You are clearly... You obviously didn't look in the Warriors forum and see the thread mentioning clubs that have folded... Something that has been happening, and is continuing to happen throughout the country.

The only thing you linked is Jeff Wilson saying how well League is going.. a Rugby commentator, who doesn't know anything about Domestic League, commenting about the Warriors and the NRL... but you of course, being the halfwit you are, assumed he meant domestic League.

So once again, where are these clips saying how well League is going in NZ?

Nrl teams don’t pay travel costs for visiting teams

You think the feds are giving the nrl $500mill for png? Haha

great to see the warriors bouncing back after the covid years, largely irrelevant to how a Wellington or Christchurch club would go but for the warriors it’s great to see.

A star? a backup half back?? He is already been replaced by a 22 year old who is pushing for All Black selection all ready.
As dismal as Super Rugby is atm, a non world cup year will be disastrous!
Any decent player will leave in-between world cups

And forget fans coming from outside Port Moresby- it’s not even connect d to most of the rest of the country (and certainly not the other major population areas) by roads.

Except they don't.

The Crusaders have already signed a replacement for him, and he will be back in two years.

After every world cup older players leave, those who aren't quite good enough look over seas, and maybe one player who is good enough leaves. Been like that since the world cup started, nothing to do with League, nothing will change that.

You are clinging to your belief that Super Rugby being "dismal" will have an effect. You still hold the mistaken belief that it's the NRL vs SR ... That's where your ignorance shows up the most.
