Except they don't.

The Crusaders have already signed a replacement for him, and he will be back in two years.

After every world cup older players leave, those who aren't quite good enough look over seas, and maybe one player who is good enough leaves. Been like that since the world cup started, nothing to do with League, nothing will change that.

You are clinging to your belief that Super Rugby being "dismal" will have an effect. You still hold the mistaken belief that it's the NRL vs SR ... That's where your ignorance shows up the most.
Great, stars from SR are going to France and Japan. So long as you're happy with that 👍

It's been happening since 1987, Hasn't really got any worse in the last decade, is not likely to change, it's just a fact of life. Rugby Players in NZ have choices. It's not like League players where it's just the NRL and that's it. It's getting so bad that League players can't even play back home because there clubs are disappearing.

What did you make of Ali' debut?
I thought he was outstanding, great defence and showing glimpses of brilliance.

By all accounts he had a good game. As did the rest of the Warriors. I'm sure the next home game against Souths will sell out.

But what does a kid born and raised in Auckland where over 80% of the countries League players are, have in any way to do, with the ability for a second team in NZ? Not that there is interest in owning or operating one, and the NRL is focused on other areas to base teams.

It was a good game and a great performance by the Warriors, glad you could catch it.
It wasn't used as debating tool, you're a kiwi with a league background so I just wanted to catch your thoughts on it. It'll sell out vs Souths and what a test that will be.
Warriors are looking like a top 4 side this year and they still have some guys coming back, time will tell.
Up the wahs

It's interesting that Union guys are so emboldened because of the All blacks. It's the National team, by default all kiwis follow the All blacks 🤷‍♂️ it really doesn't mean anything.
This year they'll be playing in France which is a terrible time slot and what you're getting up in the early morning to watch this team fail.
Neglecting Super Rugby kinda puts all your eggs in one basket.

Keep grasping to those straws...

By the way, all of the All Blacks pool games are at 7 or 8 am... hardly a "a terrible time slot " and every single one of them will have a higher TV viewer rating in NZ than ANY NRL game this year.

Of course they will, it's NZ All blacks in the WC . Hardly threatening the NRL taking the 7am time slot once a week lol

" threatening the NRL"??? What has that got to do with anything? The All Blacks are no threat to the NRL just as the NRL is no threat to the All Blacks. But each and every one of those 7am All Blacks games will out rate ANY of the NRL games, prime time or not.
