They’d be stupid to give up home ground advantage and a sold out my smart stadium for a few thousand more tickets at Eden park.

given nrl let Storm play prelims at ammi and do nt make them move to marvel I doubt they’ll dictate to warriors where it gets played.

It’s the arlc choice where the game is played lmao

clubs get zilch from finals games it all goes to the arlc

other than week one finals all other finals generally go to the nearest biggest suitable venue

the only small grounds that are guaranteed a prelim are cowboys Newcastle and Canberra for obvious reasons

Put your money where your mouth is let’s bet.
If the warriors make the prelim the arlc will go for the bigger stadium to make money

or are you just another keyboard warrior
Why would I bet with you when I've merely asked for you to provide evidence of your claim which you refuse to provide.

I'm not a child who is going to goaded by some dude on the internet calling me a name. :D

Reality is there is only melbourne and Auckland that have 30k stadiums and 50k stadiums. Nrl don’t make melbourne play at marvel so why would they for Auckland?

Yep, since 1995 - before that I actually cheered for the Bears - not a member or passionate hardcore supporter , but if I had to pick one club I liked pre-1994, they were it.

Anyway, once we got our own ARL competition club in '95, the choice to become more of a supporter (and I was a member for a while) and go for the Warriors was an easy one for me.

[Edit] Before anyone asks.. if a 2nd NZ team happens, I'd consider my options. I probably wouldn't switch to a Christchurch-based team, unless Wellington - my home city - was in their "catchment" - whatever that's shaped as.. (say, a home games split) I'd definitely switch to support a Wellington-based team though.
I bet you were pissed when Super League happend and stopped the short lived expansion of the ARL in 1996 alongside the forming of the Super 12's.

Because Melbourne is an AFL state and offers no guarantee they'll sell the tickets.
A much hyped Warriors, different story.

If it’s a preliminary final that will be at eden park

clubs don’t pick the location arlc does
Week 1/2 Mt Smart
Week 3 Eden Park

Warriors have a noted habit of snatching defeat from the jaws of certain victory

especially in big games where they are favourites

someone on twitter said if they win those games they finish second

not this year they don’t, they’re one of the most reliable sides in the comp as favourites.
previoys seasons are irrelevant. Different coach, diffident team

we need Brisbane to drop a game to get second.

If you finish third it’s a tough draw to the grand final. Trip to Suncorp or Penrith stadium in week one

if you finish top two with the home finals then much easier

broncos and Penrith look really good too

I doubt anyone much flew in for the WRWC. 15K American fans alone came into the country for the soccer.
Devlin really has become pathetic since joining the contrarian radio station with that kook Plunket.

Just celebrate the fact that the women's soccer comp is doing well you dumb twat.

Yeah it’s 100% just a case of the soccer going well- for a start because it’s a truly global sport but also because the Football Ferns gave the tournament the perfect start and captured the country’s imagination.

There’s a number of insular rugby folk in NZ that just can’t get their heads around the fact that other codes exist. Back in the 90’s/early 00’s and maybe still today, the news would feature rugby first, during cricket season

Um, I think you missed the point, that's not where Devlin's coming from, he's anti rugby (at the moment) because he's on the contrarian internet radio station.

TBH, I think the content of your comment is outdated anyway, most NZers, including rugby fans, want a successful women's soccer world cup.

Men's Rugby is the national sport.

I don't know about NZ in particular but, Soccer has been much more popular then the Rugby codes in terms of participation for Women, for a few decades.

Given that, and the significance of the event it's not surprising it's well attended.
