No Toronto wasn’t a failure

super league did a review and found that the city of Toronto wasn’t a market that offered anything to super league lmao

the last successful English expansion was castleford in 1922

poms aren’t exactly experts when it comes to expansion
Catalans? All the expansion clubs in second and third tier comps? London?

You build infrastructure for it's peak capacity, not it's average capacity.

Smart planners also build it big enough to allow for future growth.
So Adelaide and Perth don't need an NRL team to build a 30k
rectangular stadium?

Their A-League teams could pull that many to a grand final. Socceroos and Matildas could draw 30k in both cities for Asian Cup and World Cup qualifiers.

iys 25k with the ability to add 5k temp seating if needed

The plan says something like “5k seat stand that can be folded down to make room for a concert stage”. Could just be fancy talk but doesn’t sound like the normal style of scaffold style temp seating.

So whether that stand is left set up and taken down for the occasional concert or not set up and put up for the odd bigger event remains to be seen.

I’m determined to get an answer from you to who picks up the tab for a PNG NRL side when the government handouts end?

Awesome

anyway imagine your stupid league had kept the Wolfpack

you could have a super league game in Vegas as part of a tripple header which would be massive for the English game

this is what happens when you know nothing about growing the game

What do the inadequacies of super league have to do with you refusing on Multiple occasions to answer the simple question of who’s picking up the tap for the PNG NRL team when the government handouts dry up?

I already answered it for someone else

your commenting on an expansion forum

given what you said about the Toronto Wolfpack I’m saying your track record is poor

He honestly believes the PNG mining companies will cover the $15-20mill a year an NRL team needs to generate. Cuckoo cuckoo

Hahhaa.

rugby league has been played in London since before ww2

in 1907 around four welsh union clubs came to the northern union

but the clubs made them pay travel costs and they collapsed ? Sound familiar lmao
