Rugby Union is a game run by a bunch of Elites; for a bunch of Elites without any real consideration for anyone who didn't go to the right school etc.
Look, I know your default is to lie, but please do not make up stuff about me, I never claimed to be living in NZ (you really need to consult a dictionary and look up the word from), and I never "accidentally" admitted I wasn't living in NZ.7 rounds in out of 26 and winning half your games is a great place to be. They're learning from their losses and the target is off their back. I would be more concerned if they had won every game.
The NRL is 26 weeks of high intensity battles and the good coaches time thier form patches for when it counts.
I really do love the familiar tail of not knowing the sporting landscape in NZ unless you've lived there your whole life.. fascinating.. only ever heard on this forum..in this thread..
It was a favourite of Matua's until he by accident admitted he doesn't even live in NZ.
Do you even live in NZ or just pretending too?
Is that the case in NZ and SA?Rugby Union is a game run by a bunch of Elites; for a bunch of Elites without any real consideration for anyone who didn't go to the right school etc.
They hype is on the back of finishing 4th last year. They havent even made top 8 in eons. Most know Auckland is a sleeping giant and just needs some success to awaken it.All this talk about a wahs bandwagon
they’ve made two grand finals in the past
last year Penrith and Brisbane destroyed them in the finals they werent close
and this team on paper is nowhere near say the 2002 side
wait till the wahs have a brilliant Side then talk bandwagon
Nz no it’s more everyoneIs that the case in NZ and SA?
Or is it more an Australian / England thing?
why cant theyThey hype is on the back of finishing 4th last year. They havent even made top 8 in eons. Most know Auckland is a sleeping giant and just needs some success to awaken it.
If they can sustain any is still the big question after a decade of failure.
Its an easy fix, but NZRU wont allow it. Take away the all blacks caveat that you have to play for a NZ club. Do that and you'd see stronger australian clubs and a better competition. The problem for Rugby in NZ is the lack of competition from Australian sides, either at SR or international level. The All Blacks have beat up the Wannabes in the last 20 years, while in SR, Kiwi teams do as they please against the Australian sides.
Sure there may be an odd upset or two, but in the main, NZ have dominated Australia in SR, and that translates it into the Bledisloe Cup.
Also South Africa leaving SR has been a big blow to NZ Rugby. NZ is not getting competition at SR level, and that has eventually lead to a lack of interest.
With regards to the Warriors, they may have a "bandwagon" because they are winning. But some of that "bandwagon" may still be around, even if the Warriors struggle, because the alternative is the inferior Super Rugby comp.
Super rugby will be nz and nz lite (Australia)Its an easy fix, but NZRU wont allow it. Take away the all blacks caveat that you have to play for a NZ club. Do that and you'd see stronger australian clubs and a better competition.
Thats no different to the last 25 years when they've managed about 4 good seasons.Nz no it’s more everyone
why cant they
juniors are talented and unlimited
and they have a whole country to support them
wahs have been run like the nzrl ie a shambles
imagine if the wahs were one of the top two sides what the support would be like
And if they do then mt smart is too small and they should be at Eden park where they will sell it outThats no different to the last 25 years when they've managed about 4 good seasons.
So the same reason that for 21 of 25 years they've failed. poor coaching, poor management, lack of resources, best kids being snapped up by Australian clubs, there's plenty of reasons. If they can sustain a turn around in those things time will tell. Its great to see them popular again though and attracting the best kiwi talent back thereThey have a platform to do things differently, if they take it we shall see.
Maybe, Ideally Mt Smart would get an upgrade to add another 5-10k there. Eden park isnt a great stadium by all accounts. The decision on the new Auckland stadium is due soon so hopefully that eventually provides a suitable home for both rugby codes into the future. And if they do then mt smart is too small and they should be at Eden park where they will sell it out

Sounds like its a popular place regardless of games on or not. They also have a plan to franchise out to other areas and cities and make them a key event venue for warriors fans on game day.Yeh
warriors buying that bar near Eden park could be. A huge blunder if they build a stadium elsewhere
I just know you are a plod. You know better than PVL mate?
Yea you’d struggle to find anyone here who thinks Eden Park is good for watching a game, especially at anything less than full capacity.Maybe, Ideally Mt Smart would get an upgrade to add another 5-10k there. There’s been talk of it but fears it will just dilute Australia’s competitiveness moreIts an easy fix, but NZRU wont allow it. Take away the all blacks caveat that you have to play for a NZ club. Do that and you'd see stronger australian clubs and a better competition.
