What a convenient excuse to avoid losing an arguement.
We have 1 guy from Perth, 1 from Townsville, 1 from Canberra and a few from Sydney that comment on expansion.. on an Australian forum about Rugby league..but we have 5 Union guys from NZ..? Idk mate, seems a little sus lol.
Maybe Union guys have just that much anxiety!!?

There's Rugby Union 7s being played now. Rugby league has 9's and when the 9's was on, youd see jerseys everywhere.
Anyway, if there was an actual point in time of the year when Rugby league ( NRL) was mote dormant, this is it! There's nothing, absolutely nothing going on or has for months... can't believe I'm having a discussion about why it's not popular right now 🤣
But look who I'm talking to 🤣
The 9s were the NRL 9s which the whole point is to have NRL clubs and NRL players playing. The Union sevens is completely seperate from Super Rugby and International Rugby with no concurrent cross over players, the average Union fan won’t watch much sevens outside of maybe their home tournament or Chanel surfing happenstance.

There is what? 2 Kiwis on this thread tops.

Seems like you're arguing against your point, that League is huge in NZ with this.

It's all a bit odd considering you claim to have lived in, or visited all these places recently.

The fact more and more are disagreeing with you might mean you might not be 100% right? Nah must be multiple accounts…

It’s almost like thread with a claim about NZ might invite challenge from NZers?? Who would have thought?

One from Perth? Look again. But none from PNG! Out of 10mill rugby league mad people, no posters from PNG?!

I'm pretty sure I'm arguing with all the same person. Which isn't really fair because I don't have to keep logging in and out and remember who I'm pretending to be 🤣🤣🤣
True, you only have to remember the slight difference in your Wb persona and which city in NZ you're pretending to be living in. ;)

Yeah but we’re all union trolls apparently. Even though I watched like 4 games of union last year and 4 games of league a week on average during the NRL season…

What were their crowds like? It seemed doomed from the start.
Always been pretty shit.

It's really up to Australia Union to decide whether they continue with them beyond this. It seemed like they preferred them to Canberra before this, which seems bonkers.

As we know going broke in the sports world isn't the same as in the business world.

Aren't the Waratahs pretty skint also?

Probably. Aus union is turning into West Indies cricket.
