That’s why the English fa wanted him as chair
Paper speculation at most, then they saw what he did at the Welsh Rugby Union and thought feck that, we don't want this pillock, all he does is kill sports, and the FA ran a mile. Rugby Union in Wales is now on it's arse as a consequence of Moffett's culling of clubs over 20 years ago and it hasn't recovered. The NRL has only just recovered from his acts of sabotage.

Only a moron would see David Moffett as a positive influence on sport. You're not that stupid, are you?

I’m sure they won’t have to produce any evidence to the NRL that the money is “real” before the bid would be green lighted …right?

I think it’s fair to be a little dubious… but it’s not like they are going to be able to bullshit their way through this process …

Plenty of private equity money getting pumped into all types of sports these days … so it wouldn’t be a total shock to me
Not sure, I would imagine they would need to provide evidence before any bid is green lit otherwise if a bid is green lit and then all of a sudden they say actually we don’t have the money then that’s pretty shitty.

Considering the NRL is looking into the business cases of all the bids, then I imagine they do want to see hard evidence of cash or assets or something to offset the potential finances of the bids.

That’s how it looks like it’s played out so far anyways, I could be wrong

What are you arguing here? I’m saying that they would need to provide evidence before anything is green lit. I’m agreeing with you. The not sure part is more to do with how every bid seems to be judged a little bit differently.

You're David Moffett and I claim my $10. Not even the constant spelling the 8 letter name incorrectly is going to fool us. Feck off from sport you arsonist.

He is to blame, as were his employers.

Just because someone is a good fit for one sport doesn’t mean they are a good fit for rugby league. I think this statement rings loudly true when you look back at some of our CEOs and chairman’s from the past.

I don't think he has been a good fit for any sport!

Thankfully Pappas is on the Expansion committee which will prevent Moffett/WB from sullying the NRL again! Only a moron would shill for Moffett, or David himself!

Pappas told Reynolds he only had one year left in the nrl and south’s future was illas

His ceo appointment signed a four year extension to the lease deal at Accor then tried to weasel out of it when he saw how good Allianz was and lied about the Accor deal

Also sacked Madge for seibold who then stabbed in the back to go to the broncos

Sorry David, missed this... so David Moffett is the executive director of the NZ Outdoors Party who's policies include opposition to fluoridation of water, anti-5G and anti-vax LMAO.

No only does David Moffett/WB cull sports clubs and kill sports, he's a conspiracy loon as well. Sure having a senile, wacko Moffett, who is in favour of 5G masts being attacked, involved with the sport is going to make Telstra happy.

Did you miss the bit about how he became nrl boss over a year after the decision had been made to go to 14 clubs ?

Nah keep the colour scheme simple and just go black and white.

• Nobody in the NRL is using the black and white scheme, so the team can corner the market.

• It's inoffensive. So much so that normies would happily wear it in their day-to-day lives without the fear of standing out.

• It synergises with the mascot perfectly.

• It's super easy to create great jerseys and integrate sponsors with a black and white scheme.

It ticks all the boxes without the need to throw in teal or the traditional Canterbury red into a league that's already oversaturated with blue and red schemes.

As an alternative they could achieve the same outcome with black, white, and silver if they want something a bit more extravagant than just black and white, but you've got to be super sparing with silver or it looks crap.

The Raiders are the only team I've seen pull black and silver off really well, but they basically wear black t-shirts and restrict the silver to their helmets, pants, and namesets, which an NRL side couldn't copy for obvious reasons.
Then again, silver shoulder or arm bands, collars and cuffs, and other super simple and traditional designs like that would result in some of the nicest jerseys in the NRL, if they integrate the sponsors well.

If they simply must add another colour to the scheme then maybe a sea green, but there's no need.
Yep that would go down well in NZ.

Sounds like the opinion of someone who’s never spent any real time in NZ with New Zealanders.

Or that neil had a backbone.... like, don't get me wrong, in this day and age those clubs survive, but back then merging was probably the best option, but still some of the decisions were bad Norths and manly ..Jezus Wept!
