All Daniel needs to do is start the season the way he has finished the last two and he owns the other starting front row spot.
In saying that, fantastic to hear that Gavet is impressing the club with his attitude, work ethic and physical feats in the gym (i seem to remember seeing something about him showcasing some serious strength).
He's obviously not here to play Reggies nor go the Lillyman route. The only thing that worries me about starting with Glasby, Klemmer and Gavet is that it leaves us with a relatively inexperienced bench. Would prefer;

8.Daifiti
10.Klemmer
13.Ese'ese

15.Glasby
16.Gavet

This allows Klemmer to play alongside Dan and hopefully push him at crucial moments. Having two metre eaters in Daifiti and Klemmer will also allow Ese'ese to damage a retreating line of D with his relative speed, footwork and offload. Gavet and Glasby to come on with bucketloads of enthusiasm encouraging the pack to keep the foot on the throat.
I agree with this.

Herman seems to be the forgotten man in the media when they mention our young up and coming players. Statistically he was our best forward this year, he has a huge future ahead of him IMO

Gavet started regularly for the Warriors this year but some would say his best footy was when he came off the bench with the likes of Paasi in 2017. I like the idea of him starting but would be just as comfortable seeing him and say Dan adding impact from the bench with a couple of experienced campaigners in Gladsby and Klem starting. That's a scary proposition!

Jimmy and Klem have added a real 'mongrel' dimension at trainings I'm hearing which has been sadly lacking in recent years.

I really think Herman's best position is at lock. Bumped into him and Jimmy a couple of weeks back at the mall, and he seemed good with that too when I asked him.

Man, to be honest it's great having this spoilt-for-choices dilema.

I'm happy to see others are seeing the same thing I'm seeing. People will argue that lock and prop are virtually the same position these days, and they more or less are. However, I like the idea of having two big bodies on the field who take the dirty hit-ups when the D line is set. To me, in the modern game what makes a frontrower great is their ability to create momentum from running into a set defensive line. Klemmer, Taupau, JWH (when he's on), Burgess etc. all have that in common. Conversely, what I personally like to see from my lock is more mobility, speed, better footwork and tackle-breaking ability. This is exactly how the best lock of the last few years plays - Jason Taumalolo.
JT is a waste doing 1-out hit-ups into a structured defensive line, sure he can do a great job of it, but when he's at his very best he's taking hit-ups against a slightly disjointed line of D.
This is the exact role I want Herman to play because I think he possesses all the necessary attributes to be f**king awesome at it.

Herman likes to offload and has late footwork as well. Plus he likes big minutes.

I mean the thing at the wedding was vague as f**k with no proper details given and the thing from Buzz doesn’t even confirm that it was Pearce who was involved. Don’t think that we have too much to worry about here.

I think the "thing from Buzz" was that incident with the Broncos player Myles Taueli.
https://forums.leagueunlimited.com/threads/myles-taueli-xmas-assault.473865/

"One big name player at an out-of-town club — not all that far north of Sydney — was almost arrested on Boxing Day over an incident with a taxi driver."

Worded to make it sound like a knights player when it was just a random nuffie on a bender around the Central Coast. Good case-study for not jumping to conclusions based on vague journalism.

From what I've heard, Buzz's warnings are justified and he's taking it pretty softly on one player in particular.

Yes I understand the standards of journalism esp. when it comes to the Tele and much of it will be dismissed as fluff but we do not need anything to become a big story at this club with the position we are finally in and with the past history we have had to endure.

Phil Gardner has been quick to knock this sort of stuff on the head in the past year. If there are a few hitting it a bit hard you would think he'd be onto it.

I saw Danny Levi at the Waratah Coles yesterday. I was shocked at just how small a frame he has. He’s taller than I thought he was but when it comes to muscle, it’s a worry. They call Brett stewert snake due to his lack of shoulders. Well for a dummy half, Levi’s shoulders were very minimal. It explains why he doesn’t dominate in the tackle.
