LOL Tinklers lenders are going to sell his shares they have had enough.

http://www.news.com.au/business/companies/nathan-tinklers-lenders-set-to-sell-whitehaven-coal-stake/story-fnda1bsz-1226553899325

LENDERS to embattled entrepreneur Nathan Tinkler are ready to sell his stake in Whitehaven Coal, according to speculation.

In a move that could strip the would-be billionaire of his last significant business interest, his hedge fund creditors are believed to have found buyers in Asia.
US hedge fund manager Farallon Capital Management is rumoured to be speaking to China's Shenhua Group Corp.
A Japanese firm is also interested in buying into Whitehaven, according to the Reuters newswire.
Mr Tinkler owns 19.4 per cent of Whitehaven - a stake worth $675 million, based on current market capitalisation.
Last week, Whitehaven chief Tony Haggarty said investors were shying away amid speculation about the future of Tinkler's stake.
Farallon Capital Management's Singapore-based asset arm, Noonday, and other lenders extended an estimated $700 million to Mr Tinkler - secured against his stake in the miner - almost three years ago.
With the coal price sliding, the value of his stake dropped from $1.1 billion over the second half of 2012.

The Newcastle Knights’ independent audit for the Members Club Board has been completed three days ahead of its due date.
Crosbie Warren Sinclair, the independent auditor, confirms all milestones have been met.
The audit ratifies the Knights have secured in excess of $10 million in sponsorship and invested more than $2.5 million in junior development.
The report has been hand delivered to Members Club Chairman Nick Dan and the Club awaits his feedback.
“We are pleased the audit is completed; showing we have achieved these milestones,” CEO Matt Gidley said.
“We are excited for what 2013 has in store for the Knights and look forward to working with the Members Board.”
Chairman Paul Harragon is pleased the focus returns to the Knights’ core business.
“This is great news and while we never had any doubt, we can now move forward and focus on season 2013, which is highlighted by one of our strongest and most talented squads we have compiled,” Harragon said.
“This issue over the dates, through no fault of anyone, should never raise its head again and we are confident it will be a simpler process from here.”
Hunter Sports Group CEO Troy Palmer was disappointed that the audit milestones were ever questioned.
“Completing this audit and hitting the milestones were never in doubt which we had advised from day one,” Palmer said.
“We are disappointed in the publicity that this has received when we have always shown our commitment to the Knights and this region.
“The Knights’ ATO and Hunter Stadium accounts were finalised several weeks ago and we are now well advanced on completing our long term hirers agreement for both the Knights and Jets.
“It is an exciting time at the Knights, with almost 12,000 Members already recommitting their support of the Club.”

Tinkler company tax bills settled

By STEPHEN RYAN Jan. 18, 2013, 10 p.m.

THREE Nathan Tinkler-associated companies settled their tax debts in Brisbane yesterday while a fourth is set to face the Federal Court in Sydney next month.

A spokesman for Mr Tinkler said Tinkler Group Aviation, Aston Resources and TPV Newcastle all settled their disputes with the Australian Tax Office, but the spokesman declined to say how much money was paid.

The tax office began wind-up proceedings against another Tinkler-aligned company called Buildev Development (NSW) Pty Ltd before Christmas with a date set in the Federal Court for February 27.

Lawyers DLA Piper Australia lodged their notice of appearance on behalf of Buildev Developments last week.

The tax office declined to comment on the case yesterday while Mr Tinkler's spokesman said they were old matters that had already been reported.

The tax office filed the wind-up application on Buildev Developments (NSW) the day after it moved to liquidate eight Tinkler companies including the Hunter Sports Group, which owns the Newcastle Jets and Knights.

Documents filed with the Federal Court stated that the eight companies, including the Knights and Jets, owed a total of $3.19 million in unpaid tax.
