If canberra govt come to the party gws will be dropped like a hot potatoe. As for $15mill a year for NT, it’s nothing when your revenue is about to go up $150mill a year. And again afl being afl they’ll probably get it fully funded by feds under some atsi funding.

The 'be grateful you filthy plebs' attitude to Tasmanians from the AFL irritates me but doesn't surprise me. Tassie is lovely but it's the AFL fishing in over-fished waters.

90% of media advertising in metro areas, seems regional australia just isn’t cutting it for the corporate $.

There’s an article which wookie knows about which shows advertising on tv

advertising rates in Sydney are the highest in Australia

advertising in Adelaide are amongst the lowest in Australia

I think they are two very different things. WA has 5 times our population, a good comp, a committed government, and loads of money. We have none of those things.

I think Perth is an important market for the NRL as it's growing. I actually think a Perth team ends a lot of the 'it's an east cost game' nonsense. Adelaide isn't as important.

The thing is Queensland and Victoria are growing like crazy too. It won't be long before the Sunshine Coast has the same population the Gold Coast did when the Titans came in. Will the NRL still only have the Storm in a city of 8 million? I'd rank a second Melbourne side as more vital than Adelaide.

no doubt given comparative populations. I wouldnt expect them to be anything alike.

But 66% on brisbane and Sydney (given regional advertising spend is so low) when Melbourne, perth and Adelaide metro populations surpass sydney and brisbane?
Mmmmm. I’d need to see the source to confirm that.

the code that can get a really strong foothold in every capital city market is the one that wins In revenue stakes. That much is obvious.
