What ever the team one thing is definite we will need points this week and that means attacking options. With a cloud over Hopkins and Morris out for the remainder we will need to have both Witt and Thorman in the team. If Dykes is fit then thats a huge bonus.

Hopefully Cannings will be back and then I'd dump Stapleton! Vella starts on the bench for the first 10 while Moi Moi does some rough stuff and then he comes on - I think he's been fantastic the last month or so!

Afa to start - he's a strong runner, and we could certainly use his strength in the starting side!

In the backs I'd prefer to keep Peterson/ Burt together - but (assuming fit) Grothe is clearly our best winger, and he is so dominant on the left hand side! If Smith is comfortable on the left then I would switch him to left center to partner Grothe on that side!

Deano simply offers that little bit extra in attack then Wagon and deserves to start. Wagon as captain is simply not working. I think refs see him as an easy target.
Captaincy needs to go to Hindmarsh or Vella.

If Grothe comes back, Graham goes out.

I wouldn't mind seeing Graham given a run in the 6. He can tackle, hit holes and, importantly for a 6, he can throw some wonderful passes. Maybe not for a whole match though.

If Mateo isn't named as a starter, we might see a witt/thorman combination at the halves?

Name me one (1) time that Graham has thrown a "wonderful pass"?

Its hard to throw passes when on the wing - its a part of his game that is wasted with him on the wing.

One example of what he can do comes to mind though is the match vs Roosters.

Returning a kick in the first half.....he went across fiels before throwing a long pass across to Peterson.

We also saw a bit of it last year.....he had great hands.

Mateo is a bench player at the moment. He looked good out there against the storm but there are others i would rather have starting.

Graham at 5/8 could work. Now with Mateo in first grade we might see in PL 6.Graham 7.Smith? Its worth a try. Graham has a sensational long pass and a good frame to be a first grade 5/8. Plus it gives the side more depth in the halves which is thin leading into next season.
