Why are all our marquee signings experienced has-been squad fillers?

If some of the depressing signings eventuate in this thread Griffin will end up with the same treatment as Morris.

I'm done with value buys and then trust in our juniors. Our juniors aren't ready today and these rumoured signings are in the twilight of their careers. It doesn't line up.

I think he is a big risk when you take away his Melbourne Storm security blanket. We can revisit this topic next year when he’s running the show. I have no dramas with Hunt and Norman was a rash signing from the ex peanut

Wanted us to go all out for Staggs...would have revamped our side bit like Bird has but better.

Will see what Hook has planned. Because we don't know and we don't see I get concerned that he can't land big fish. It's one thing to say that's not his style but we need to land a big fish or two in my opinion. Look at what we've lost recently and are losing in Dufty.

Once his contract is up, I hope Millward gets the flick. We could do so much better with recruitment.
