He has earned the right to make errors over his career and in this game, apart from couple things he was awesome.

People go on about his lack of physical speed but what about his mental speed ? He thinks quick and ahead of opposing players, intelligent player and when you add his experience he is still top of the class for me.

Yes he can make an error or two - but he gets involved so much so I guess higher risk of making an error..

I'm more worried about Dufty leaving that bomb to bounce and lafai having to clean it up. Dangerous. It was Dufty 100% and he could have easily got to that bomb.

I thought that was partly Nenes fault for running back looking like he was going for it.
Anyhoo, that sort of experience will come as he gains in confidence, the attempt to run around them to the corner was good, even if he didn't get there in the end.

Besides that, Lafai should have got the penalty for the strip after he caught it.

Nighty needs to stay clear of sideline - if he is unmarked and he is within 10 meters of try line he is a chance. But trying step outside opposition players now see’s him pushed out to sideline. Aitken also needs to be careful as it’s been a bad trait with us last few seasons..

Had a blinder. Some people on here have absolutely no idea, zero about football.
And there are some people on here who turn a blind eye to the obvious all on the back of 1 stellar game which are few and far between these days.
He can put in some good steady football but the assumption that a younger faster player can’t do that and more is merely sticking your head in the sand.
When Nighty gets the ball in the clear with 10 seconds on the clock and a try will win the game but he is run down despite a clear passage to the line you will all be harsh critics then believe you me.
To make the change is difficult for some supporters but to do it before it costs you dearly is using your big head according to Brownie
Too much love and not enough logic in this matter.

We won ... so a lot of issues in the game get easily overlooked ..

The key issue was the distance that hunt was kicking tactically for a lot of the game ... Taking kicks inside your own half after a set of 6 is a sign of shit go forward. When nighty takes one or two hit ups a set coming out of defence he will tick up some decent metres by sheer volume of carries but the result is two fold ... Minimal metres on that carry then a slow play the ball. That then means that the next hit up is into a set defensive line and yields insufficient metres again. So Nighys's carries give poor metres on his and the next hit up.

The net result was hunt kicking from 50-60 out and finding Tedesco all too often. That meant the roosters making it to our 30 for their end of set kick and piling more pressure on us.

However, we won and nighty made 220 metres so this doesn't get any attention.

we just smile and whistfully think of what a great finisher and team man he is.

Our kick returns are poor because we only have one player with size in the back 3 now.

It is time.
