I am under 65 and have eaten heaps. Not for along time though. Anyway, too small a sample size. As a matter of curiosity, if you have never had porridge, what did you have oats in? Stouts don't count.I'm under 65 and have therefore never eaten porridge

Let the stout warm up more than what you have and you might see it in a different light. I know you don't need me to tell you how to suck oats so i'll STFU.

Ginger is funny stuff. some are a lot more gingery than others. The lighter the colour, the lighter the flavour I find. (from cooking rather than brewing). Use the cleanest yeast you can get for ginger beer and cider. Us05 or MJ west coast.500 grams of fresh ginger grated up
500 grams of light dry malt
500 grams of raw sugar
All that boiled up
Then added to the mini fermenter for a 10 L batch.
Basic ale yeast added
SG of 1.040

I’d only take his Omega Speedmaster. Panerai is for wankers which he is. Don’t like precious metal pieces. Stainless steel all the way.
