The feedback I get from friends of mine or my kids however is that people have gone backwards when Abbott's NBN gets switched on.

The NBN argues that poor download speeds is the ISP not buying enough bandwidth and each house ending up with a tiny slice of pie.

I think the message here is not to enter into a 24 month contract, byo your own modem and change ISPs if they f**k you over with poor NBN performance.

The NBN idea was always dumb if not being driven by the corporate world ... the blame game between govt n corporate wouldnt exist

Why is it so f**ken cold lately? People keep saying it's something to do with being further from the sun at this time of year but it sounds like horseshit to me.

I only have mobile internet.

$72 gives me 100gb data a new tablet and 24mth plan. Easy enough to tether to desk top.

Netflix and YouTube doesn't count against data.

Usualy sits around 35mps download speed which is fast then most NBN. On rare occasions it will hit speed Gronk talks about. A web page like foxsports will open within 2 seconds on normal which is fine.

Advantages is a tablet would of cost $650 for same model so I guess it is costing under $50 per month. I can also use it Australia wide.

Soon 5g will take over. Id imagine it will be like going from 3g to 4g. 5 x faster.

I reckon most people will opt for mobile data plans once 5g is put and ANBN will be used to offices,Hospital etc....

Now Gronk I am not 100% on this but didn't Abbot not want NBN cause of mobile data being the future? Id check your information . You seem to leave out things to suit your illusions....

Also its easy to say fibre to homes.... But ever seen some driveways? It could be a 10k cost plus some. Labor can throw around how they would ofmdone it better but they handed a lemon to the liberals. Another shit idea thast was never thought about properly

Abbott took Gillards wizz bang fibre to the premises NBN and replaced it with an Aldi version.

14 September 2010
The coalition took a $6 billion patchwork broadband policy to the election compared to Labor's $43 billion NBN plan but it was widely criticised after it fell short of Labor's plan in terms of internet speeds and reach to Australian households.
