I am ridiculously insecure and have some pretty self deprecating thoughts most of the time and just assume everyone hates me so am never confident to call people friends out loud because like i said i assume everyone hates me.

But, we are now in the age of the internet, mobile phones and on-line gaming and the world interacts differently.

Can you only be friends with people you see? multiple years on a forum, interacting daily, can that not be some form of relationship? If say Strider and Eelementary say they are mates, is that wrong because they have never met face to face? They know enough about each other to consider themselves friends, they have something pretty damn strong as a basis for friendship, they both love the Eels.

People get married without ever seeing each other even though they may have been chatting on-line for years and then relocate to other countries and live happy lives together and start families etc.

If I recall this dialogue, Gus111 indicated that he went out with mates, who were people that he'd just arranged to meet...

The circumstances you're saying are all seem like lengthy relationships prior to meeting,

I cannot believe that someone could believe it is ok to say something like that on public radio, and to hear his cohorts laugh at it was even more disgusting. The stuff Eddie McGuire and Sam Newman have got away with over the years beggars belief.

Yep.
They took him off air immediately and sacked him shortly after.
The other's with him, particularly the clown who was talking about his own wife, should at least be severely reprimanded.
What is it with that sport, and the culture in general, that thinks racism, misogyny, paying hush money to sexual assault victims, denying and fighting programmed drug cheating, falsifying membership numbers etc. etc...is all ok?

The phillipino commentators are hilarious ... the entire phillipines bench piles on and then goes 20 on 2 while the crowd gets into it aswell ... but the aussies play rough

They we physically restraining our bench while 2 of our guys were getting bashed at the far end ... luke longley ended up down there trying to clear it

From what I could see it started with a push on court and then the Aussie to retaliated with an elbow to a jaw. From there it was push n shove argy bargy. Until the Phillo merkin threw a chair. Then it was on.
