Nice. Which version? Maxicase? Date or no date ?
It’s eels colours funnily enough. Date oyster steel with yellow gold and a blue dial. I’m not a watch person really, I don’t wear one all the time as I find I’m rather rough on them in everyday circumstances. I just always wanted a Rolex so my wife thought that would be a nice 20th anniversary gift

Swiss? Red cross by memory

Tissot ? Wenger ? Vitorinox ? I think they are all owned by Swatch.

I think Swatch owns Tissot, but Victorinox owns Wenger.

Wenger is one of two companies that have manufactured Swiss Army knives. Based in Delémont, Wenger was acquired by rival Victorinox in 2005.[1] Since 2013, Wenger Swiss Army knives are integrated in the Victorinox collection (as the "Delémont collection"); the brand Wenger remains for watches and licensed products.

EDIT: although both the Tissot and Victorinox brands use the white cross on a red background, Victorinox has the background in a shield shape, whereas Tissot have a standard square-shaped background.

Are Longines any good? My uncle left me one of those in gold. I don't wear watches so it sits in a drawer until the odd time i wear it to the races. It's only a small face. I originally thought it was my aunt's and no the uncles.

Mid range swiss. Long pedigree.

Automatic better than manual. Manual better than quartz.

I have a Longines from 1988 that my GF (wife) bought me. Small face was the go back then.
