Ok, so why would they do the “let’s pretend he’s guilty” and that he part of the verdict reading? It read as fact.

I’ve never read one of those things before and f**k it was long and boring.

There must have been some significant evidence (that is not clear anywhere) for them to find him guilty given it was committed over 20 years ago. I can only assume the kid who had to take it in his mouth could describe aspects of his penis and general area in detail?

Were there witnesses that maybe came forward but they haven’t been mentioned.

Short of the lawyers admitting guilt inadvertently or whatever i can’t reconcile based on what I’ve tried to read how they got the guilty verdict. I’m not defending him or anything either, I’m sure he’s done it and despite what that verdict reading says it probably isn’t a an isolated incident, or more specifically to that 2 month period.

The allegations are deemed facts now, as the court found him guilty. It is now subject to appeal.

From what I read in the ^^ above link, the sole witness (the other died from a heroin overdose -?-) was cross examined for 3 days and the jury deliberated for just as long. Clearly they believed the crown witness's testimony, beyond reasonable doubt.

Assuming the appeal is upheld, what a cruel bastard of a human being is Pell.

He should have been incarcerated for years already for being complicit in the unfathomable abuse carried out by priests that he then had a hand in moving from parish to parish whenever alarms were raised about these vile creatures and what they were doing to children. People familiar with Chrissie Foster and family's story will know what I'm talking about. Read the book "Hell on the way to heaven" for more info.... It's a truly heartbreaking read and it's unforgivable what happened to that family. And they are only one example of the damaged souls these scum destroyed

I understand that there was testimony by the victim and they deliberated for 5 days and the other guy “R” is deceased but i could talk for 3 days if I’d had 20 years to prepare too.

Like i said i have no doubt he did it, I’m just curious to know the detail on why they came to the conclusion because i could say you touched me inappropriately but they are not usually going to just take my word for it.

Agreed. Remember also that Pell was the architect of the "Melbourne Response" which, IIRC, dealt with allegations of abuse internally. The church did not admit guilt, Claimants forced to sign confidentially agreements and indemnify the church from further claims. Compensation was capped at $50k.

BTW, don't take notice of some in the media who state that Pell was convicted on flimsy evidence. J's evidence was given in a closed court. No reporter or media commentator heard any of the evidence. So when Pell's supporters claim that he is innocent of all charges, it is wishful thinking rather than a considered response to the facts.

I guess i am just morbid and i wanted to read (yes i know how terrible it is i am the same with serial killers etc.) what the evidence was. My questions have nothing to do with claiming his innocence. I am a nosey motherf**ker basically.

Plus it would be good to throw the evidence in those dumb f**king merkins who are crying about him being innocent.
