Heard the other day that Castle Hill Showground is to be revamped and some of the old pavilions that have been there since early last century are being pulled down.

Apparently the pavilion named after my grandfather is goneskis. Does anyone have any info on the future of the Showground ? I can find references to a masterplan, but no specific plans for what’s happening, other than the showground is to be a modern location for major events.

I believe they wanted a Centre of Mediocrity built on the site but there wasn't enough room to accommodate the entire staff.

FFS leave merkins alone. It was opening day of a $9b train line, with the first driverless trains, stations with no gap platforms etc. this is HUGE for the northwest. Some girl on the news was interviewed and she said that it shaved an hour of her journey to work. Game changer, merkin.
