Since lockdowns all of a sudden everyone wants to be outside and connect with nature. Before they existed most people where happy to sit on lounge, eat junk food and watch trashy TV shows for a week

You know when the hindy111 purchased? Last April when Sydney was in lockdown and every one hid in their shells. Experts predicted 20-30% falls. And people with investment properties panicked and started selling off.
I snapped up a place literaly 4km from the CBD. It's an old piece of shit built in 1910 that I am slowly fixing up. I'll wait till market heats up and border open then I will flog it off to someone rich and desperate.

I will see. Potentially repeat what I have done. I feel like the best areas to do up a place and flip are ones where the general population are working professionals. They see a few cracks and rotted floorboards and stay clear.
Plus they don't have the time or knowledge so prefer to pay overs for something already done.

So. Best ways to get rid of mice? In the shed id just poison the merkins. I dont like setting traps and having to dispose of the mouse.
What are peoples reccomendations? Will they stink if just poison them?

I was replying to Pou about what I may do. I may not bother. I may just stay here for good. I may sell up and move to Katoomba. It is just an option and would be a bit of a side gig if I could be bothered trying to make a bit of extra coin.

Yes. They go off and die somewhere. I had a rat at my former place. Put some poison out. A few days later, a smell develops in the garage that lasted for a month. It was repulsive. Couldn't for the life of me find the dead beast.
It wasn't until I moved a few years later and removed the fridge in the garage that I found the skeleton.

I suspect if you poinson them then it depends where they actually live as to whether they might die n stick it up .... if thats in the neighbours place then yay! But if in your place might be a problem ... probably why people use traps - can dispose of the corpse

So you just gotta be aware of where they might look for water, and that's where they die.

I use baits regularly at at work, it's next to a creek, so never found dead ones inside.

Yeh, killing them with a trap is probably a little more humane than making them die of internal bleeding though. I use both, but I feel a little bad about the nature of poisoning.

Also if you wanna make sure all you kill is mice, set the bait in the middle of a length of pvc pipe, you cut a length, say about a foot, drill a hole right through the middle, and thread a peice of wire through the hole, the bait, then out the other side and tie it off.

That way bigger critters can't get at it.
