Yeah, it aint very nice. but hey, I'm down with torturing any merkin who thinks he can just drop a turd on my kitchen bench any time he f**king pleases.

Possums are worse. I've been running a war against these abroreal merkins for some time now. Installed some spikes to control the areas they shit or don't shit in which has been sort of useful.

Also if you wanna make sure all you kill is mice, set the bait in the middle of a length of pvc pipe, you cut a length, say about a foot, drill a hole right through the middle, and thread a peice of wire through the hole, the bait, then out the other side and tie it off.

That way bigger critters can't get at it.
damn i was hoping the neighbours annoying cats might get involved in the fun

I've never battled with possums. "spikes" seems rather medieval though.

They're just plastic strips with spikes sticking up from them, to discourage animals and birds from walking on them. They don't injure the animal, but they do piss them off somewhat. So you can put them on the top of a fence, , on a post or in my case on the framework for my front balcony / carport that these little mongrels like sitting on at night and shitting away til dawn. Plenty of other places for them to walk round my house that don't have paving directly under them.
