Has it actually been verified that he had covid via PCR test on 16/12 ? His actions on 17/12 suggests that it’s bullcrap.

If anything the chaps at the airport need to be knuckled, but ^^^ should not entitle the applicant a get out of jail free card. Ultimately, the matter must rest on the law. Is he entitled to cross the border ?

He applied for a visa, which was granted on the basis of the evidence presented. AFAIK, nobody has challenged the veracity of any of the evidence presented, either at the border or otherwise. Why not? (btw I can't follow your link) What this does show up is the stupidity of making decisions like this at the border. Border checks should focus on issues that can only be verified at the time and point of entry (e.g. do you have a fever / symptoms now?, do you pass a RAT now?, do you presently have sufficient cash to support you during your stay?, are the documents supporting your case genuine and in your possession?). Other questions, such as whether the circumstances of this kook justify an exemption can be dealt with at the time of granting the visa.

From the cached version of the page you linked:

You may be considered for an individual travel exemption by the Commissioner of the Australian Border Force or decision makers if you are:

  • a foreign national travelling at the invitation of the Australian Government or a state or territory government authority for the purpose of assisting in the COVID-19 response
  • a foreign national whose entry into Australia would be in the national interest, supported by the Australian Government or a state or territory government authority

.....

Travel

If you are not granted an exemption, you should not continue with travel plans, as you will not be permitted to board a flight to Australia. If you are granted a travel exemption, you will need to take evidence of that exemption decision to the airport.

How would you 'verify' that. He has a certificate from a medical professional saying that he tested positive, and Home Affairs are not suggesting anything else. What his actions suggest is that he is a stupid selfish merkin. That doesn't stop you entering the country, or becoming PM.

Are there isolation requirements in Serbia? Does he have to isolate if he is asymptomatic? Even in most states now if you are in close contact with someone and have no symptoms you do not have to isolate. Does a positive test change all that? I don’t know but being a close contact or basically likely having the virus but displaying no symptoms means you have no restrictions.

Based on these new rules here what risk does Novak bring to the general public ? I’d say none. The Government are just being pricks sprinkled with some federal government employees on the ground that wouldn’t give him procedural fairness now proven by a Federal Court.

Plus who cares if he was spreading the virus in Serbia and not isolating. He is just spreading amongst those crazy Serbs, remember?

Did he know the result of his PCR test on the 17th when he was out and about? How many days is the turn around time for getting a result in Serbia?

He got tested cos he was a contact of basketballers who tested positive, not cos he had symptoms. Did he know he was positive when he went out the next day?

Sure the positive result means f**k all as to whether you are sick from the virus, but its the same game we have played with pcr results for 2 years, so you cant flip that now when it suits.

From the transcript at the airport, they also required an antibody test to show you still had antibodies to fight infection. He appears to have supplied that. Is he logically a risk to the australian population? Or is it a witch hunt?

He is no f**king risk to anyone which is the reason for any restrictions that we have all encountered during these difficult times.

It’s because they don’t f**king like him. He is a weirdo in many respects. More than likely a highly functioning autistic genius like my hero in my signature. Is however that any reason for stitching him up as suggested by a Federal Court Judge?

Look at all the polls results on the GOAT despite all the evidence declaring that he is the best player that ever lived. Let’s see if they change their opinion after his likely victory in the AO assuming he is not deported. Trust me they won’t, they hate him.

No, as I understand it he applied for entry visa online and when he got to the bit of Y/N are you double vaxed, he opted for N. Then he was required to tick the box that best suits his circumstances and why he thinks he is entitled to an individual exemption. The process then gave him an option to upload docs which supports his claims, which he did (he provided the TA tournament entry). He then received an automated response saying “ok here’s your visa see ya in Oz”.

That process ^^^ did not scrutinise the documentation and like many government departments, the applicant would be required to hold documentation which supports a position in case of audit. The “audit” in the case of visas seemingly happens at the border. Shit system ? Yes, however the onus is on the traveler to ensure that they meet entry requirements.

When we travelled to USA, we all had our ESTA visas, but it didn’t stop the JFK border bitch from seizing my teenage son’s mobile phone and going through his social media posts before they let us through. It didn’t stop her insisting that we provide evidence of a return flight, our booked accommodation and how much $$ I had at my disposal for the 3 week trip. This demonstrates that holding a visa comes with border compliance obligations and you can still be refused entry.

They kicked the other girl out for the same reasons, she just didn’t have the cash to fight it. What immigration officers do at midnight at Tullamarine Airport is hardly a calculated “we hate Novak” move. Nice rant anyway. 🤙

Which of his supporting documents have been challenged? Note, this is different to arguing about whether the document should have been issued.

You reckon it was some tired dude working at Border Force that made the call that has made international headlines? Are you serious?

And they kicked the other girl out after they stitched up Novak to make it appear they are fair and equitable. She was home and hosed and sipping lattes in South Yarra.

It’s all just been a friendly game of pass the parcel between Tennis Australia, VIC Government, Scotty, Karen Andrews and the dude schlepping for Border Force. Too bad when they invited the courts to join in
