But I’ve got friends with older kids who are entering adulthood knowing that society finds it acceptable to discriminate against them. It’s not something I ever had to deal with and neither did you. It’s a problem for much younger people.

That's why we need the relationship experts in there yeaching young kids not to discriminate, when they're at an age they are a chance of learning that society's "acceptable" prejudices can be changed.

Bullying was considered healthy back then. Honestly I think it made me tougher, picking on the gay and disabled kids. Was certainly a lot easier than picking on the Samoans.

What I want is sexuality experts in the classroom with no other grownups around. That’s what kids need. How is a child going to know their favourite sex acts otherwise?

Nobody came out in my year. I suspected one dude but I really liked him. He was cool and later joined some New York dance school. He is quite famous now.
