I'm just not a snowflake who believes that learning about gays and trans in schools means I have to be concerned for kids' futures....

I don’t care if kids learn about gay and trans shit at school. They might grow up to be gay or trans themselves. My concern for their future is the acceptance by many in government and business that my kids and yours (because I’m 100% certain you’re a white person) might deserve fewer opportunities to address historical grievances. If so I can only counter it by spending money on buying opportunities for them, which is where privilege actually comes from. But I’d rather not have to work 60 hour weeks through my fifties.

It's odd how we are happy to pick and chose what's acceptable.

It's bad enough the government charges people out west more to get to work using public transport then someone who lives close. Not only are they being penalised time wise but also financially for not being able to afford to love closer.

So for you is this concern with future society mainly about land rights, native title and Mabo etc? Affirmative action employment opportunities for indigenous people, and the like?

I may have missed the point of what historical grievances you're worried about may limit future opportunities - given the world economy and capitalist system collapse seems likely to have a much bigger impact on the future than the above.
