f**king hell son, we definitely gotta catch up.... I've seen them about 30 times.... I had tix for the show they were supposed to play at Sydney Uni start of 2022 which got canned cause one of them caught covid....and they haven't played in Sydney since.... when they do, you and I will go - deal??

I saw them at the Festival which I think was 2022. The only band who still had it.

Sure but I have to wear earplugs. Have ear problems

That's because it's not 1993 anymore. Grunge phased out 30yrs ago.
Now it's all about the beats.

Unsure if kids are still learning those instruments like guitar and piano these days. I rarely see kids walking around with a guitar anymore like I remember.

My daughter is a guitar and piano teacher, and also teaching singing and dancing. She's really busy, so it's still a thing..

Shihad are the best band I have ever seen LIVE. They put so much god dam energy into every show. I've seen them about 8 times. They leave nothing out there. Brilliant band but live they go up a level.
Oasis was probably the tidiest band I seen. Didn't miss a beat.

I’ve seen them 50 times.

All these boring celebs supporting yes or no as the case may be.

I was reading today, someone calling the voice an act of apartheid which seemed a bit extreme and unhelpful.

A Melbourne afl person now wants to boo the welcome to the country.

People rushing in to get their 15 seconds of fame.

If I was going to try to get the voice across the line with less bullshit, I would have proposed other pro-community changes and bundled them up.

A bill of rights enshrining medical care, legal representation and fair trials, a basic standard of living. The right to housing These days maybe even the right to access technology, etc. that kind of stuff anyway.

So you cover the field and a no vote becomes something you can’t consider.

Still hasn't worked out where the fish are biting @Eelogical
I think I made a fair point.

Appeal to the broader populations sense of victimhood, disentitlement and disenfranchisement.

Get people excited about the prospects of getting more resources for themselves.

Just like the election promise garbage.

Voice sorted Gary.

But no, the presentation of the voice has to find political expression in race, wokey v conservative values which a lot of people find uncomfortable.

I could also shove in a vague change to get my extra power up for votes for the military and veterans across the line.

For every one citizen vote, my “ military citizen” class of voters, gets 1.2.

if you can’t get into the military etc, you could do a certain number of hours of community work for free per year to get the same bonus.

You get a special form on Election Day and it’s counted as 1.2. Votes.

Or if you a hero in some natural catastrophe, save a child, volunteer for the sick, disabled, people in need, you could apply to the AEC for to be considered under this special clause of the constitution.

The Committee to consider the Application would have to be independent. I’d have a General or Admiral on it for gravitas though.
