The solar train is a hoax, sure it has a few panels on the roof, but its not solar powered.
I would take it purely because it helps alleviates traffic congestion. It's part of the tourist theme that is Byron. The climate activists can feel good about themselves if it works for them.

It doesn't go anywhere. It goes north towards Mullum for a bit then stops and comes back while you pay a lot of money for a cup of tea and scones with jam and cream.

Not my cup of tea.

It goes far enough away from Byron central to justify parking there. I haven’t taken it myself but I would consider it next time I’m in town. You could get scones and a cup of tea for less in Lennox Head beforehand.

I reckon about 20-30 years ago that was the place that everyone raved about but doesn’t get mentioned anymore. I certainly haven’t even thought about it in that time
A stay at the lighthouse is worth it. Only thing is that the cottage we stayed at is a B&B. So either you go with friends or take pot luck on the other bedroom being vacant or having Mik and Hindy as the other house guests. We went with friends.

So many nice spots down the South Coast, the main problem is the Princes Hwy is shit for most of its length past Berry and also you have to drive through that shit hole that is called Nowra, once you are past Nowra the world is your oyster, speaking of oysters the south coast has the best oysters in Australia.

Once they finally get the Ulladulla and Nowra bypasses up and running it'll be a dream driving down the coast.

It's still years away, unfortunately, but it'll take our drive from Balmain to Narooma to around 4.5 hours. The new Westconnex tunnel/Rozelle Interchange has already cut 25 minutes off our trip.

I am on day 3 of 12 at Nambucca Heads. We have done our annual holidays on the mid-North Coast for the last 5 years or so.
Before that was always Sth Coast (Huskisson and Kiama).

I lived at Callala Bay in the early '90's.
Love Jervis Bay.
