Tell me, did you use the solar train in Byron when you were last there?
The solar train is a hoax, sure it has a few panels on the roof, but its not solar powered.

I notice that South West Rocks doesn't get a mention here.
I would take it purely because it helps alleviates traffic congestion. It's part of the tourist theme that is Byron. The climate activists can feel good about themselves if it works for them. The solar train is a hoax, sure it has a few panels on the roof, but its not solar powered.

I reckon about 20-30 years ago that was the place that everyone raved about but doesn’t get mentioned anymore. I certainly haven’t even thought about it in that timeI notice that South West Rocks doesn't get a mention here.
It goes far enough away from Byron central to justify parking there. I haven’t taken it myself but I would consider it next time I’m in town. You could get scones and a cup of tea for less in Lennox Head beforehand. It doesn't go anywhere. It goes north towards Mullum for a bit then stops and comes back while you pay a lot of money for a cup of tea and scones with jam and cream.
Not my cup of tea.

A stay at the lighthouse is worth it. Only thing is that the cottage we stayed at is a B&B. So either you go with friends or take pot luck on the other bedroom being vacant or having Mik and Hindy as the other house guests. So many nice spots down the South Coast, the main problem is the Princes Hwy is shit for most of its length past Berry and also you have to drive through that shit hole that is called Nowra, once you are past Nowra the world is your oyster, speaking of oysters the south coast has the best oysters in Australia.
Well I may have until @Eelogical told everyone about it again!Maybe it's a great time to visit?
Unpopular along the NSW coast is a good thing.
Pottsville and Cabarita are magic as well.Tweed/Kingscliff
I’ll just stay quiet from now on. Who wants forum merkins running amok all over the coast? I ‘ll just go back to Yamba….it’s easier.Well I may have until @Eelogical told everyone about it again!
I could get used to that, and I plan to.Jindy and the Snowy Mountains was the best this summer. For me anyway.

BBQ'S and beers in the evening beside the fire were the best. It was cold and we were in trackies and hoodies.
The locals were wondering who was next on the bbq.

The run over the range from QLD through Natural Bridge and Chillingham is great. We usually stop off at Tropical Fruit World at Duranbah for a lunchtime feed.Pottsville and Cabarita are magic as well.
I could get used to that, and I plan to.
It’s already on the drawing board for April. We want to do the Great Alpine Rd before winter sets in.Autumn is the quietest time of year. My recommendation.
Just not during Easter.
Gundagai-Tumut-Adaminiaby-Berridale is a beautiful drive. It’s already on the drawing board for April. We want to do the Great Alpine Rd before winter sets in.
