One of my best mates has worked on a cruise ship the last 10 years and has pretty much travelled all over the world. He reckons Canada is a fantastic place and we should all travel there at least once. Easy for him to say when you are on 300k a year and travel the world with your job.

+1 on the wanna go to Canada. I found out that my ggg grandfather was born in Manitoba before going to Port Macquarie. So it's on my hitlist. My brother lived in Banff for 5 years or so. Looks like a postcard.

PS Canadian dollar is 1=1 to Aus, so perhaps affordable as well ?

So guest lists, colour coded wrist bans (under/over 18) and alcho tests are the 2016 norm.

We've looked at booking a beer garden at a pub. Some want you to provide security, some will provide for you. Prices can be reasonable and there are actually some good deals on Scoopon/Groupon. You can do drinks packages or put money on the bar. Doing it this way you avoid the issue of kids rocking up with waay too much grog and things getting out of hand and the bar has the responsibility of checking for under age drinkers that can get you into huge trouble if things go awry.
