Here is exactly what IS want. They want these random killings to fracture our society. They want the billion peaceful muslims to be persecuted through unnecessary paranoia and have no alternative but to fight for their right of religious freedom. Ironically a freedom that we insist upon and enjoy.

Once again......they want us dead. It's pretty simple.

Everything about what they "want" is bullshit and just people staying positive, which is cool and all but it hasn't changed anything yet, in fact it has just increased the events in western heartlands.

Where I grew up when we were around 16 they started to take over the area and thy hated white people back then, nothing has changed and no one made them change, we just encouraged it. Those are facts, that was 20's years ago, it is simply too late.

It is all well and good to feel sorry for people from less fortunate countries but when you try and integrate people from war torn countries where they have seen such atrocities, monkey see, monkey do and the PC brigade making excuses has helped no one!

Ask Melbourne how the apex gang are going.......just another example of dickhead politicians listening to the minority of whingers telling them they should help these people......

Like I said earlier, just hope we are not the next victims and get on with your life, because there is nothing we can do about it because no one is EVER going to do about it. There are no plans except to tell us not to "let them beat us, cause that's what they want"........

It is about religion, it is about the way these f**kwits interpret their religion, mayhem and persecution just comes with it.

It is not difficult, people trying to separate these f**kwits from decent Muslims actually complicate it. They try so hard that it just makes it worse imo.

If it's about religion, then why do none of the higher ranking IS officials ever perpetrate attacks? Why are they safely ensconced in the middle east whilst they recruit disenfranchised youths to do their dirty work?

Get the UN to sanction a coalition of countries with the necessary capabilities to go to the location of IS headquarters (which I understand is Deir ez-Zoir in Eastern Syria, and precious little else) and simply blow the shit out of them.

If they've got the roads in from Aleppa, Hama/Homs, Damascas and Fallujah blocked, then do it by air, or by missiles. Then we'll see how far the "organisation" spreads, without their hierarchy recruiting extremist lost souls via the internet.

That's simply so they can get territory (the caliphate) - they're a stateless organisation, with no borders protecting to protect their "home turf".

It's not about religion. It's about their (extremist) version of a religion which has earned no place in the nation states of the middle east. It's about using fear to create (or maintain) a physical territoty in the unstable middle east, without suffering repirsals from any of the other unstable forces in operation over there. If you're starting to get worried about immigration to Australia - or Islam as a religion - because of this, you're barking up the wrong tree (exactly the one they want you to). They typically recruit in western countries from disenfranchised people that are first-born or older generations. It's in our interest to unite with everyone who is here, and not divide.

No. They want their neighbouring middle eastern muslims to follow their (extremist) version/interpretation of the Koran. They're just using destabilisation via terrorist attacks in the west, to attempt to deter other local (and international) forces from attacking them/taking their caliphate - the temporary territory they've claimed in the deserts of eastern Syria/western Iraq.

Normally I"m fairly anti-war/pacifist... but the time has come to take the core of their organisation out. The remnants that are willing to conduct these attacks for the cause will fall apart soon enough, and (unfortunately) be fodder for the next cack-handed extremist faction over their to recruit them via the internet. Is it just coincidence that the Sharia law crap came up after politicians in the US and UK especially starting telling people about the dangers if immigrants bringing Sharia law? Or is it more likely that they jumped on board and are using the psychology of these people to their own ends?

Terrorism is not about bombs, otherwise it would simply be called bombing. It's about terror, and IS are brilliant at creating that.

That trust will begin to happen when people in their families/communities start reporting on those that have been / are being radicalised. There is no way that the families don't have any idea it is happening.

This is certainly worth a try but what if that doesn't work? What then? I'm pretty much at the point of trying anything and some of the suggestions raised may be worth a try as well.

The US occupy Iraq and have been meddling in the Middle East since the 70s. How is that any different? And how is the fact that IS openly state they want to establish a caliphate NOT political motivation?
