How is Trump my hero? Because I don't like Clinton?

Do you have any proof that Trump is my hero? Can you quote me? Or is this just another false equivalency that the left love to make, where you get to decide what people think?

You can't help yourself, can you, Gronkipoo? The only thing you can do is be a cliche, isn't it?

Do you know about the real Trump-Epstein thing, yet? Little St. James? Do you know why Epstein lets people visit there? Why he REALLY lets people visit there? What EPSTEIN'S motivations are?

On he other hand, do you know about Trump's habits when socialising with Epstein's crowd in New York?

Does the latter make the former false? Or is the former real, and Trump just learned his lesson?

What's true, Gronkipoo? Or do you still not have a clue what I'm talking about, because you haven't been told to think about it by your Mockingbird masters, yet?

Zzzzz broken record mate,

When I was a teenager I read Paul Ehrlich and would have described myself as left leaning. As I got a job and got older I called bullshit on a lot of what the left had to say. Went on to largely vote Liberal and admired Howard's leadership when it was unfashionable to do so.

Now I am in a quandry. I deal with a lot of left leaning greens and conservation groups in my line of work. I despise their methods and their ideologies. They are destroying a lot of what I feel is important.

But on the other side, this new breed of alt-right f**ksticks give me the atomic blood shits as well. Sanctimonious little f**ken cretins that I would love to smack endlessly with a wet newspaper until they woke up to themselves.

In short, this country and world we live in is completely f**ked. Where did all the sensible people go?

What are you talking about? The last two liberal prime ministers were Howard and Abbott, both very similar in their values and positions. The only thing that changed was the feral media who care more about sexist winking and watch checking and eating onions than they do about the prosperity of the country. Spend lest time focusing on fringe dwellers like Gronk and you will see the mainstream are very normal.

...and the reason I worry about these people and not the silent ones in the middle?

They are changing things - they influence the media which in turn influences politicians which results in weaker leaders and poorer governance and decision making.

We don't have any leaders tackling genuine long term reform issues these days because they are scared of repercussions from the nutters on the fringe.

You only have to look at the current battle between the liberal moderates and the conservative right. Kevin Andrews / Tony Abbott / Eric Abetz et al are leading a destructive faction which is designed for the coalition to fail.

Tony Abbott and Fitzy are brothers from another mother. Happy to watch the demise of their party/club bc they have a delusion that we will all plead for their return to save the day.

Personally I think that Shorten is clueless, but if the right faction keep road blocking Turnbull, then it will happen.

Have to agree .... there is no leader with anything that resembles a spine atm .... unfortunately everyone flip flops around trying to apease everyone

I know abbott is a f**kstick but he at least sticks to what he thinks ... dont get me wrong, not saying i want to see him back

Everyone is the majority in their own eyes. I understand why people slide further out on the fringes, because people don't listen to them when they try to be a part of the majority that is not listening to them. Then when they get heard more people who had the same problem do the same thing in order to get their voices heard as well. People probably thought first wave feminism was filled with nutters at the time and that turned out to be a good thing. Today not so much, but back then sure.

What you describe as "nutters" on the fringe are actually a part of shaping the future of tomorrow, because the majority will either accept or reject their ideas. This is not different to any time in history, humans never evolve to be enlightened beings. Rest assured things are as normal as they have ever been, maybe with a bit more news coverage.

Gronk pretending like he is more righteous than conservatives does not help. They are at least half the population, if not more in Australia.

The left is equally beholden to idiot greens. Especially up here in Queensland. Its sickening.

Thankfully the Greens don't have the political clout that they once had.

Regretfully, One Nation now make up the numbers and their policies seem to be based on alt-right populism, rather than rusted on ideology.

Yes because silly boys like you and Christopher Pyne have forced half the country to consider alternative party options. Howard brought together what the liberal party stood for, there are those like you that seek to silence the majority of the party. You will get your reward, and that is parties like one nation and australian conservatives.

True, the greens as a party aren't as big as they once were.

But trust me. Right now in Queensland conservation groups and the anti mining campaign are getting enormous cut through with Labour and are heavily influencing what happens.

It also doesn't help that a number of Labour ministers come from campaign type backgrounds and are often predisposed to those views themselves.

That might change after the election but right now the extreme left have their mits over a lot of things and personally I think that has led to some very ordinary policy in my part of the world.

Love to know why both sides of politics are getting behind Adani which (by all accounts) is low grade rubbish coal, job figures are sketchy, Mr Adani is dodgy AF plus we have to put $1B into infrastructure bc no bank will touch it.

Don't believe everything you read on this.

No bank will touch Adani because they will take a big CSR hit. The campaign groups forced their hands. That is why the banks wont go near them.

The actual position of both governments is that Adani need to fund it themselves. The $1B loan wont happen. All of the media around Adani's NAIF application has been horribly misleading.

Do I think Adani will go ahead? Its line-ball but if it did go ahead I think it can be developed in a sustainable manner. Because if it doesn't there will be even dodgier thermal coal being burnt somewhere else and the net result is more impacts to the planet.

We have some of the most advanced legislation and processes for environmental governance in the world yet we have become conveniently distracted by a bogus coal vs reef argument. Its stupid and exactly what those campaigning against Adani want us to believe. Development can occur whilst still preserving and maintaining environmental values. It is not one or the other.

The rest of the world is watching and those with deep pockets will think twice about investing in a Country that cant sort its shit out.
