I'm sure I'll be dragged along to see it soon enough. I liked the first 3 as a kid, but I'm not too fussed about any of them these days.

I'm the same Baz.

Loved the first 3 (in descending order), then it all became (imo) a marketing exercise to sell merchandise. It lost its magic.

It's a bit like James Bond movies. The more that technology has improved, the worse they've become. They just try toooooooo hard to impress.

Like the ABC?

Well, some stuff is on the ABC, other stuff of the various Fox / Netflix channels. Other than sport I don't watch much on the other FTA channels (although I don't watch anything 'live' so I'm not sure what channel some shows are on).

Nothing wrong with watching the ABC. Particularly as I tend to prefer British dramas and comedies to US stuff (though I watch plenty of both).

It wasn't a dig by the way. I just find more intelligent, sensible and/or mature people watch the ABC.

I am not intelligent in the slightest and still act like a teenager so all the make believe stuff I flock to more. I also don't like British stuff and prefer US shows.

Old people just don't get it I guess........or mature people if you like.......

Further to my previous post, I actually said I liked the first 3.
I haven't seen the latest instalment so I'm keeping an open mind.
It's got nothing to do with age/maturity buddy.

It wasn't supposed to be a criticism, if anything it is a shot at myself for being such a loser for being so excited for this stuff.

That's all cool. When I actually think of the shows I've watched over the past couple of years, I guess it'd actually be closer to 70% US stuff / 30% Aus and UK. I guess I've lived in the UK / Europe for a reasonable proportion of the last 15 years, and that affects what you get used to.

Is that because the US remake all the British shows or rip them off

That's a bit disappointing. You should be proud of what you like/are passionate about.
You're a great contributor to this forum. So what if you like Stars Wars flicks? I like weather and stadiums and atmosphere at sport - 3 very nerdy things. I don't care what others think.

You're a good man Korny, even if we disagree on shit.

I like the escapism from day-to-day life offered by some shows like the range of comic book re-creations but at the same time, I also like a good drama. Current fav's include House of Cards (US version) and The Blacklist.

I walked out of The Force Awakens giving it a 7/10 for reasons not unlike Twiz's feedback above.

My viewing breakdown would be 50% sport, 25 % news, 10% documentaries, 10% cooking shows and 5% other.

I know its an advantage to look like a Yugo with that big noggen potato head like the present Bond but who do you think should eventually replace Daniel Craig? I'm a massive Tom Hardy fan and think he would be ideal as the next Bond.

Thoughts everyone?

I've liked Daniel Craig as Bond .... the more rough type of character ... a bit over the more poncy Bonds

I grew up with roger moore and sean connerey - always considered them Bond - never really accepted anyone else since then .... but I have liked Craig

so I guess I agree Tom Hardy would be another good "rough" Bond

alot of interest for Idris Elba but some controversy over him because of his skin colour. i say if hes good enough give him a crack.

my choice would be henry cavill or micheal fassbender.
