She's a Republican supporter in real life. Not sure if she's pro-Turmp or pro-the other guy, but being on the wrong side of politics is usually helpful for letting go of celebrity crushes.

Not a huge Avalanches fan but like a lot of people I was waiting to see what they came up with after 16 years, bit disappointed in Frankie Sanatra, too repetative for mine

Just reading Roy Masters' article remembering Ali...

http://www.smh.com.au/sport/us-spor...-sydney-pub-in-the-1970s-20160605-gpbx9p.html

A little-known story concerns an Ali visit to Sydney in the 1970s.

After visiting a Sydney radio station for an interview at Milson's Point, he walked past a local pub where the McMahon's Point A-grade rugby league team was having some schooners after training.

Unable to resist a crowd, Ali slid into the bar and eyed a big front-rower with his back to the crowd, waiting to buy a drink. Ali motioned for the other drinkers to be quiet as he crept up behind the prop and tapped him roughly on the shoulder. When the prop swung aggressively around, Ali shouted: "Did you just call me a n****r?"

Then, as horror flashed across the footballer's face, Ali gave him a loving man hug. Ali didn't drink alcohol, but he stayed for a laugh with the lads.

I recently got back from a few weeks in PNG, have to say the stories of how crazy they are over there for Rugby League are true! Everyone over there seems to be wearing either an NRL jumper, shirt, hat or pair of shorts. And they love to talk footy. When I head back next year I'll be taking some NRL gear and some of my local club jumpers over.
Places like Rabaul, Alatoa, Kitave Island, Kiriwina Island, Doini Island, if you get the chance to go over, do it. The people are lovely and humble. And take some local money with you as they create the most sensational carvings.

Heading there on a two week cruise with my love in August. I can't wait.

Make sure you take plenty of Kina as in the islands they can not use Australian currency. They will accept it but then have a hard time trying to exchange it. The carvings are sensational, you will be blown away by their beauty. If you can, check out the battle fields at Alatoa and Rabaul, very interesting and special places.
What cruise ship are you going with?

Sitting in a cafe and on comes "Bette F**ken Davis Eyes".

Can't eat my poached eggs quickly enough but then it suddenly strikes me - it's Marge Simpson!

Marge F**ken Simpson.

First it was Josh Reynolds, then Chase Stanley now Michael Lichaa has moved in next door. Josh Morris is also around the corner. The Sutherland Shire really is a place for sportspeople. Did I ever tell you merkins how good I was at squash as a kid?

Interesting. I played A grade when I was 17/18/19. Used to play for a now long time defunct club in North Parramatta called Cumberland. Their courts were near the Eels Sales Yards but closer to Victoria Rd. IIRC they closed and then we played a year out of Northmead. All the courts were closing at that time. North Parramatta, West Ryde. There was another one in Parra close to the railway station called Olympic too.

As a junior I played in the NSW Open. At the time I was playing in some ace Jnr side from Pennant Hills courts. I won my 1st round match and then got beat by Tristan Namcarrow (Cam Namcarrow's son) something like 9-0 9-1 9-0. That might sound like I got smashed (I did) but I proudly fought hard and won many rallies (they were the days of handouts). Not long after he turned professional. Not sure how well he did cos he had a bit of Nick Kyrgios about him.

Had a mate at school. His father owned squash courts in Georges Hall. That is where I got the bug. About 10 years ago I started work in the city and they had a squash court in the building. I challenged everyone in the building and eventually beat them all. In the final match this young kid in his early 20's did his cruciate whilst playing me. I actually heard the pop from the back of the court.
