First it was Josh Reynolds, then Chase Stanley now Michael Lichaa has moved in next door. Josh Morris is also around the corner. The Sutherland Shire really is a place for sportspeople. Did I ever tell you merkins how good I was at squash as a kid?

Make sure you take plenty of Kina as in the islands they can not use Australian currency. They will accept it but then have a hard time trying to exchange it. The carvings are sensational, you will be blown away by their beauty. If you can, check out the battle fields at Alatoa and Rabaul, very interesting and special places.
What cruise ship are you going with?

Thanks, mate.

Heading over with P&O.

If you get to Doini Island hike to the Skull Caves, well worth the effort. And if you are heading to Kirawina Island the snorkelling is sensational at the drop off but take reef shoes as the coral is very sharp to walk out to the drop off even at high tide.

But but but its people that kill people not the poor guns

#bowlingforflorida

Guns don't shoot themselves.

Blame the PC brigade who let people like these shooters get taken off lists and let mentally impaired individuals get off lightly or have the red flags taken away.

Millions of people have these weapons and manage not to kill people. I notice that there are not the same outcries about the amount of people who die from smoking or alcohol. Or drink driving, speeding. We should away cars too?

I personally hate guns and violence and don't understand why people want to own guns but it is hypocritical for people to scream so loudly after each tragedy but seemingly are so quiet about the deaths from alcohol and smoking which dwarf shooting deaths.

Seems we are a society of convenience rather than common sense........

It's not just a question of 'how many people die from cause X' (otherwise you could run the same argument about heart disease / cancer etc).

The obvious difference between gun related deaths and drinking / smoking (ignoring from drink-driving etc), is that in many gun related deaths it is not the decision-maker who dies. It is the other f**kers who got shot by the person. If you choose to smoke heavily, the risk to others is significantly less than if you choose to fire shots at them.

There's a difference between people taking risks that expose themselves to harm, and taking risks that expose others to harm (and yes I know that both drinking and smoking can expose others to harm)

Of course, but from a lobbying a government point of view, it seems that being against guns is cool but not about smoking or alcohol. Drugs are illegal, why are smoking and alcohol not the same? Both are very harmful.

And if you want to ban guns cause of the harm they may do when someone makes a bad decision, then drink driving absolutely has to count when arguing about this subject.

I think we do ban drink driving.....and I'm all for tougher penalties in that regard.

But, why any civilian needs to own an assault rifle is beyond me.

I was referring to banning alcohol, which is the cause of drink driving, If guns are the reason for shootings, then alcohol is the reason for drink driving. Ban them both then?

Some would argue why any citizen needs to drink is beyond them.

I do however 100% agree with you, I'll take it further and say why anyone would want to own ANY gun is beyond me.

The democrats tried to restrict access to semi-automatic weapons by closing loopholes, but even that was rejected by the republicans. Beyond words how stupid they are...
December 3, 2015

The Senate on Thursday voted down two gun control proposals put forward by Democrats in response to this week’s deadly shooting in San Bernardino, Calif., in a series of votes that highlighted the intractable party divide over how to respond to gun violence.

The Senate rejected a measure from Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) to expand background checks for guns purchased online and at gun shows on a 48 to 50 vote and an amendment from Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) to prevent individuals on the terror watch list from purchasing firearms on a 45 to 54 vote. The amendments were offered to an Obamacare repeal package currently being debated in the Senate and they needed 60 votes to be adopted.

Feinstein’s amendment was identical to legislation she previously filed on the same topic, while the expansion of background checks for gun purchases mirrored language championed by Sens. Manchin and Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) in 2013, following the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School three years ago this month.

Did i read that right, currently people on the terror watch list are able to purchase guns and an amendment to prevent them from doing so was voted down?

Sounds about right. I mean, in two US states the blind are allowed to go hunting with guns, and in only one of those does the blind person need to take a guide with them.

The Orlando shooting was one of 43 shootings in the US that day
