I can’t afford holidays in Europe.

Flights to Europe are not $1500 anymore. Closer to $4500. And accomdation has doubled in the last two years.

Yep, stopping merkins from producing stuff while giving them free money to keep consuming stuff means there is less stuff with the same amount of demand.

No immigration meant a shortage of workers and plenty of jobs.I know places where guys on about $23hr where all leaving. Only way to keep.or replace was to offer $28/$29hr. That's a 25% increase.
This happened at plenty of places for non skilled workers.The pay hasn't gone down.

Shipping containers that where costing $5000 to send went up to $15,000. That's eased off slightly but still over double what it used to be.

Unsure why people think the economy shutting down would have an instant effect. It was always going to take a few years. You don't go broke straight away.

Anyone done the Ramses exhibition at the Australian Museum there near Hyde Park.

Did it yesterday arvo with the family. As my mother loves the Egyptian and ancient history so we finally took her down there to have a look.

Well done to all involved it's a very good tour.

I think it finishes up in May. For those interested and haven't done it.

I’m at the Gold Coast for work and I can’t find BA, anywhere. Surely this would be his hangout during the bye?

Males especially are too lazy to get there heart checked.

Doesn't help there isn't an incentive either from the government.

For those in that age group of 40-60 should go get it checked it every year.

I was born with a congentive heart condition so I have to see a cardiologist every year for regular a check up.

The ECG and checkup is around $400 you only get $200 back or so from Medicare.

But $200 in the scheme of things is not worth losing your life over.

A lot of these issues can be prevented I have seen cardiologist my whole life and the technology around the heart is improving and getting better every year. They can spot stuff 2-3 years in advance.

Discovered some of the back streets a little north of Cavill Ave near the river around the entrance to Chevron Island. So nice just walking around before breakfast and the weather is perfect.
