Not sold on the Roosters yet...

The roosters cannot win the premiership if they give away 8-12 penalties a game. Playing at Allianz won't make a difference. They have won one count there, this year .

Sharks were the better side, more physical, and battered the roosters forwards.

Roll on to round 26, where a crowd of 50,000 will be cheering on the bunnies.

Well there you go. Bulldog Force has finally admitted it.

He respect the Gonz.

I think Cronulla were definitely the better team although I'm not overly concerned about it because like Gallen said after the game it was a weakened Roosters side that they really should have beaten. I was surprised we were such short odds heading into the game.

A lot of their point scoring success came through exposing Langi and the new combinations down our right hand fringe, that's a pretty easy fix when we start getting a couple of players back from injury. Felt for Langi, he's a 5/8 or backrower who was forced to defend at centre in his first 2 first grade games, hopefully his confidence isn't dented too much.

I didn't see anything last night that suggested teams or a team have figured out deficiencies in the Roosters structure yet. That would be the concerning thing...

And you saw that quote bullfrog farce, and in your creepy little way, again tried to suck up , by saying you respect those who said sharks were the better team. Go on a diet, and gain some self respect.

I am sick of humiliating you, how much more can a person take ? You have tried it before, trying to grovel to me, after you have been battered. Not interested, I'm having way too much fun toying with you.

There is a lot of money being bet on the Roosters now that their odds have softened a bit. They are at $3.70 up from $3.50 to win the GF. Some people might think that Uncle Nick knows how to keep the Ibrahims happy. :D
$4 with the TAB. Was $5 earlier today but a few punters have jumped on with $10k bets. Storm are now $3.25 favourites.

That was almost 2 weeks ago . Souths have firmed dramatically since then, and the roosters have eased
ROOSTERS out to $2.75
SOUTHS in to $16

All right then ill have $2000 on them at the $16 you have quoted.
I reckon theyre specials.

While it's a paper most (if not all) of us hate, did anyone catch the backpage of the Telecrap today?

"Chooks or chokes" - or something along those lines.

2 games do not mean were choking it had to happen sometime if anything I would be worried for souths because we will be looking to avenge the losses to both Sharks and Titans.

But if you lose again? What does that say? It's the time of season to be stepping up, not fading away.

doesn't the tune change when it's the club you support, eh?!!

one man team, chokers, run out of puff, etc

for the record, i don't think these losses write off the roosters.

re souths, they'll be winning shit this year if they continue with their silly mistakes. tigers carved them up, imagine what an average team will do. even dumb mistakes on 4th tackles in the middle of the ground. give MEL that start and territory, and they may as well confirm their end of season trip to Bali.

how does madge get it into the heads of some of this boofs?

The Roosters do look a bit out of sorts but so do the Storm & Rabbitohs.

Manly are the team to beat atm - proven finals performers.

In regards to the other 3, they have worked themselves into a position where they can afford a slip up or 2, so why panic?

Both Melb and Manly are the proven semi specialists. If Souffs and Easts can jag a win over each respective side come the 1st week of the semis, then that will go a long way in instilling the belief that they CAN take out the Holy Grail!
Not counting either side out, but Easts have had very minimal success in regards to semi-finals in the past decade. And souffs have had even less. Both have very capable rosters, with good class across the board.., but do they have the belief?

i don't think the lack of success in finals for souths or even Easts is an issue. both have relatively new setups and personnel. it's not like the Saints (pre premiership) and Tigers (post-premiership) teams which constantly made it and kept failing in Wk 2 or Wk 3.

the tune of many here changes week to week. manly were the 4th team when Souths beat them, now they've rocketed back into calc's. melbourne were dominant, but now there are questions being asked. and the average flog is writing off easts.

the only problem i have with the BUL's and CRO's and NEW's and NQ's and NZW's is that they've had to really be winning games now and so have been preparing like it's finals already. The top 4 have been able to manipulate training to suit the opponent and circumstances.

this year's premiership is going to be won not necessarily by the best team of the four (or even 8) on any given day.

It's going to be won by the team that can turn up on the day of the game and win, and do it 3 or 4 times in a row. that is how close this comp is. have a bad day on one of the game days and that could be it for that team's chances.

it's going to be phenomenal.
