he didn’t get charged with a shoulder charge. Just high contact as Paulo being there stopped the ability for him to wrap that arm.

had he been charged with a shoulder charge to the head he’d be out for 5-6 weeks with his record
Looked like he was bracing himself for impact to me. Always suspect when the player is falling.

his arm was separated from his body ... thats not considered a shoulder charge
This is the NRL definition of a shoulder charge. Has it changed since 2018?
Shoulder Charge
Is where a defender does not use, or attempt to use, his arms (including his hands) to tackle or otherwise take hold of the opposing player and the contact is forceful.
It will be considered misconduct, if any player affects a tackle in the manner as defined.

Maybe I watched the wrong clip but I thought Freddy was pretty much on the money with his comments. Salty? Apart from the fact that we know he's a Roosters supporter, I didn't get that vibe...

Yeah freddy was spot on with his criticism of brown. The cold drops he does weekly as well isnt good enough for a first grade half.

Its not like dylan hasn't been criticised on here. Its taken to round 9 for someone in the media to finally point it out.

yeah i dont thin kfreddy was salty at all ... just honest

dylan has been a bit off in attack this year - maybe we expect too much??? .... that try he scored was great, but haven't seen much else like that this year

re: everyone expecting that both players should have been sin binned .... I don't know ... the sin binnings of players is all over the f**kin place this year .... I definitely do NOT think Niukore should have been binned .... Drown, dunno??? - his case is only worse cos the guy ended up hurt. If he just had a little bit of a sore rib no one would be giving even the remotest f**k

I think DBrown has contributing greatly to our attack indirectly, through his defense

Watch him closely, he shuts down potential breaks, and has saved some tries

I think these following stats are amazing for a 5/8th, Which other 6 or 7 does this?

He goes looking to tackle/shut down raids. His attitude to defense is brilliant

Source nrl.com

Tackles/Missed tackles (one on one tackles)

1 Broncos 29-1 (3)
2 Storm 42-1 (3)
3. Sharks 30-1 (2)
4. Tigers 39-3 (2)
5. Dragons 29-0 (1)
7. Broncos 25-0 (1)
8. Dogs 30-0 (2)
9. Roosters 26-1 (1)

Have a look at Luke Brooks trying to run down Peacheys try for 50 metres over the weekend

With 20-25 metres to go before the try line Brooks got within a dive attempt, but didnt dive

If Brown was in the exact same position,I have no question of a doubt he puts a big dive in trying to tackle or ankle tap him at the worst

Decided to not bother watching any NrL show today, it’s obvious what the knob heads are going to say. Even this morning , turned off 3 radio stations on the way to getting a haircut, it’s just a pile on. The media beloved Rorters need to be protected at all costs.

I don't know what some of you bloke's are on about. Seriously, support your team by all means but both Marata and Dylan came up with pretty awful pieces of foul play. They're both very lucky, and we as fans of the team are lucky, that both didn't get put in the bin at the very least. And yeah, we all know what Felice Kaufusi did and got away with against us, but that doesn't mean other pieces of foul play should go be let go - 2 wrong don't make a right.

This place would be in absolute meltdown if our fullback and captain copped a shot like Tedesco did from Marata and if we lost our starting 6 with broken ribs and a punctured lung because of knees to the back. Both deserve the criticism, both will rightly face the consequences. I don't think any of the commentary around this that I've seen has been unfair or over the top at all.

What did Takeiaho (however the f**k you spell it) get for his high shot on Hipgrave?

I dont think Hipgrave fell into that, nor stepped or anything. It was a reckless swinging arm to the head. Its just Hipgrave is a mad merkin and thinks its best to be tough. I tend to think absolutely belting a guy in the head with a swinging arm is worse than many other things. But no one seems to care unless you end up with a broken jaw.

The worst comment I have heard came from Daryl Brohman on 2GB after the game. He claimed that Brown deliberately kneed the rooster and that he had form.
