Yes Ikin sort of asked the question about Teddy running on his knees but made sure he didn't offend anyone. Was the softest of soft co*k questions ever asked.

Well Ikin is a massive soft cock.

And Buzz was screaming blue bloody murder last week, one of the reasons for the crack down was whinging merkins like him and then he’s still whinging.

And he just said Teddy drops, but didn't acknowledge how that can be unfair on a tackler. f**k you, Robbo!

It was such a joke how well he skirted around it and the other two boneheads didn't make an issue of it.

Massive reason as to why Teddy cops it in the head so often and twice in successive weeks.

Not saying that a hit to his head is OK, but more then a penalty and or a sin bin for it, which Robbo himself calls those sorts of accidental tackles as "consequential" tackles, is to much of a penalty in my opinion.

We can't blame the attacking player for a hit to the head, but if his decision to avoid the defense contributed to the outcome of the tackle and it is obvious that a hit to the head would not have occurred if the runner hadn't changed his line at the last split second once the defender has already committed himself to the tackle, then some common sense has to prevail surely.

We are talking of fractions of a second here. It may look more blatant in slow-mo but when played in normal speed, the reaction time is milliseconds.

It he was losing players to a player that kept dropping 6 inches to a foot when he is a split second away from a defenders tackle, I don't think he would be so accommodating and understanding toward that runners style of defensive evasion. I'm sure he would find an eloquent way to highlight the runners contributing factor in such mishap tackles and downgrade it as only warranting penalties and or sin bins.

I don't think there is another player that does this as often as Tedesco. It is the way he runs into most tackles and honestly I don't know how he has not been hit in the head way more often. To me players are doing a damned good job already trying to avoid hitting him in the head, but "consequential" tackles will happen no matter what harsh penalties they try to impose.

He made a big thing of saying Burr's tackle wasn't so bad cos Teddy drops, which is his running style. But they didn't transpose that to the Marata tackle at all ...... and in fairness, I think Burr's was less bad - but the Marata tackle was complicated by there being a 3rd merkin also in the tackle, otherwise i think marata would have clearly chested him like Burr

Which Dylan Brown are you watching??? Other than dumping the ball onto his outside man, taking it to the line is almost all he does. The problem is he is just “wearing the hit” (really he’s just preemptively deciding to run) rather than what he was doing in his debut and dropping the short ball to Lane.
Granted that short ball was becoming one note but he needs to go back to doing it at least occasionally. Or at least if he is going to engage the line, he needs to take another player with him.
He better find his juju at training in the next couple of weeks otherwise he could be in trouble

Yes I know he takes it to the line, but so pathetically that I don't consider it a true to the line ball play act. If you run to the line and then do nothing with it, that is basically a run and get tackled play. Which is what he is doing.

He is terrible at present at so many things, it is not funny. Defense is the only part of his game that has shone through and been brilliant at times. But he is a half, and a debutant showed him up on the weekend and he also did well in the defensive side of things too. Halves need to be threatening with the ball in hand. Dillbags is at this point just a solid runner with good defense. I want much more from my halves. Don't you?

I feel like the first thing Hadley will say to Kenty in the Greenroom will be:

I didn’t say I didn’t want more. He’s capable of being a better player but at the moment there’s zero subtlety to his game. I think it’s a communication (and continuity for lesser extent) or authority problem. He doesn’t have a running mate like he used to with Lane. He needs to grab someone to run with him because the block play attacks are going to always go through Moses and Gutho before him.
But I also don’t really think Jrthur showed him up. He wasn’t any worse but he wasn’t better really (yes there’s a cost difference) but he also just dumped the ball mostly and made a couple of runs

Did you see how he kept the defense spread when he had ball in hand? That alone is more then what Dillbags currently is doing. It allows him to dictate terms, especially when a defender or two panics. They will in future games try to cut his space and time down, so it will be interesting to see how he adapts. Will he find it tough like Dillyboy or will he cope and adjust? Dillbags scares no one. They know he is a plodder at the moment and they treat him with the respect a plodder deservers.

Lets just watch what J. Arthur does these next two games. See if he continues in the same vain or slips back and offers little like Dilbags.

I don't want to overstate the kids ability. He is just a boy, so anything could happen, but I liked what I saw first up. Dillbags is floundering in attack at present. I hope he can recover.

Yeah but Jrthur didn’t really do anything with that extra space outside his try, which Drown also did in his last game.
He’s got 2 games to show his wares. If they’re better then it’s a real awkward conversation with Drown. If it’s the same as Sunday then Drown steps back in but at least with some pressure to perform.
I’d like to see Drown with some extended time next to Matto. I feel as though Matto and Nrown are the keys to unlocking Drown’s effectiveness
