A $100 million dollar attempt to grow the league. I bet you any money, that Fox Sports comes out with a Crakka advert this week, that will be done in house, & will exeed this steaming pile of shyte a million times over. Imagine how many junior clubs could do with that money.
It is a far king crime. What is worse is that some clowns, are ok with the money going towards this, instead of junior clubs, who are closing their doors because insurances are too high. Because equipment is too expensive. Because they cant get coaches. Because they wont deal with the issue of giant poly kids 90kg playing against kids half their size & 50kg.

Yep. AFL are making big strides in junior development getting boys and girls involved, especially in Western Sydney and the NRL is sitting on its hands pretending its not happening. Weight inequalities is a huge issue too, scaring parents away from letting their kiddies play league.

Any attempt to put in place weight restrictions so that white kids flourish is just affirmative action gone mad. Trophies for all! No need to work hard to get better. Just be a 44kg prop forward.

My 14 year old is no little bloke.
He has played up a year in soccer his whole life.
Even played up 2 years to help out when a team is short.
He has mates that left soccer lasted one season then came back.
Hated it.

I'm going back a long way but we had weight divisions in both league and union back in my 2 primary schools, 4 Stone 11's, 5 Stone, 5 Stone 11s and 6 Stone 11s. Age divisions started in high school.

All they want to do is play footy and have fun.
Getting trampled by some big fat islander ( sometime a entire team of them) is no fun.

These are kids.
Ive coached kids who have had shoulder reconstructions at 14
14!!

They are tough lil buggers and love the game and are damn good - and wont take a backward step.
They are kids and we have to protect them. They tackle kids twice their weight. Twice their ferkin weight.

Can you imagine tackling someone time and time again on a saturday who is as fast as you but twice as big.
Thatd be a no.
