NRL faces major turmoil as clubs threaten breakaway league

Typical short-sighted heartland clubs holding the game down with there selfish demands, you think by now with all that money they get that can manage it successfully. But the don't and blame the NRL for there short-comings, they should blame themselves for there predicaments and it's time NRL save some money for future expansion teams and the heartland should deal with what they have.

They seem to spend it all on the "football department". How the hell do the Broncos earn $50 mill in revenue and only come back with a $3 mill profit? Would reduce their grant.

It's absurd how many chances these heartland clubs get yet when a non-heartland club is in trouble there calls to kick them out, double standard.

Since when was the Bronco's a heartland club? They did everything in their power to kill of the Crushers and then had the NRL put in a clause preventing a rival club being set up in Brisbane. They more than any other team have tried to stifle the addition of new clubs in the NRL.

The $3million profit figure was for their 6 month report. Full year earnings would be expected in the range of $5-6million, based on approx $50million turnover.

It's closer to $40m in revenue and have you never heard the saying it takes money to make money? There are expenses in servicing those revenues.

Perth is still too close.

In order to take on super rugby before it is too late the Broncos should be moved to Capetown.
