Sounds like Gus wants to keep him now that he's an Origin player.

Yeah that 30 minutes of Origin over 3 games has changed Goulds view of him.

Peachey is not as valuable to us. He's utility in the same mould as Gidley. Decent centre but average elsewhere. He's not worth big money to us.

Titans are within their rights to sue Peach for break of contract. bloke needs to be an adult and realise the he's in the big leagues here. millions of $$$ involved and he is absolutely screwing a whole organisation by only thinking of himself or his missus. he had a chance to reneg on the deal during the cooling off. that opportunity is gone.

it doesn't put any faith in the titans either that they haven't just put another spud on their books who'll be going through the motions every day just to collect his monthy salary for the next 3 years.

We are going to be having to invest big money in upgrading guys like Cleary, Kikau, Blake, RCG etc. Which is why he was given permission in the first place.

Nothing has changed unless Cleary leaves. And Peachey is not the player we would need if he did.

Hes a benchie/backup centre. As much as I love him and as good as he can be. His value to us is not that high. If we had let Whare leave and kept him at ventre that wouldn't be the case. But as it stands now our centres are Blake and Whare. Cant afford a $500k backup.

Agreed. I see him in the same way as Josh Reynolds -energetic, enthusiastic, bit of a hog but with no grubiness except now that he’s trying to do the dirty on the Titans.

Well if he doesn't go to the Titans and the Panthers can't afford to keep him, I'm sure the Roosters will find a spot for him on the bench.

They just released Ryan Matterson so they need a bench utility and they surely have the cap space.

They’ll just use the money freed up br Craig Salvatori’s departure.

No. Maloney picks his teams, he's said it plenty of times. No doubt he adds a hell of a lot but he doesn't go to places like Titans or Parra, he picks sides with an open premiership window like Roosters, Sharks & Penrith, even throw Warriors into the mix.

There are reports in today's Sydney Morning Herald that Sam Ayoub has been trying for months to get the Titans to re-negotiate and upgrade Peachey's contract (both in $ terms and length).

DCE was legally within his rights to back out. Re Peachy, cooling off period ended months ago. If he had doubts, he needed to act on it when he had the chance. His contract is binding, he needs to shut up and get on with it.
