NRL Nines Expectations

How good did Jack Bird look Dra66. Wow isn't he going to come back and bite the Dragons.

Saints attack looked pretty good. Marshall was outstanding for me and Crook held his own out there. Very impressed by Crook. Looks like this guy will provide good cover, forget Henry and Keating, Crook is much better than those 2.

Nubulli will ease the pain of losing Morris. This guy looks pretty damn good.

Saints were unlucky to miss out on finishing 3rd but they were much better than last year.

Slippery I agree Jack Bird is going to bite a lot of sides this year. His ability to find space and off load to a support player in traffic is exceptional. Will be a starter with the Sharks for sure. Was also very strong in defence.
Once the Sharks take the field with their strongest pack of forwards and include Bird and Holmes in their backline they will look very much like a top four side.

Unlike last year our main problem wasn't our attack or defence but way to many errors.
The Nines is a bit of fun and there was a lot of positives out of the individual performances many of our players. It won't be until Round 1 till we get a gauge on where we are at in relation to the rest of the teams.
I heard McGregor say on Fox that normally the CS is the final trial of the preseason and a nearly full team has a good hit out but with the WCC still to play they will have more players running on and off this year as they experiment with combinations. Souths will probably do the same.
If we lose against Warrington than that will not be a good start going into the season.

Still awhile before we know where are at but at this stage my expectations are not very high.

whats your point besides a random whinge about nothing?
It is a trial.
Don't go if it's too expensive.

Prior has bad hands, gives away too many penalties and shafts the supporters with his ridiculous pricing...

Souths will take the CS seriously as they did the Nines. If Saints don't take it serious they will cop a flogging. As Maguire stated, any trophy they throw at us we will try and win it regardless if it is a trial.

Just finished watching some Slippery Morris videos on Youtube. What do you reckon our chances are of fielding him in the Nines next year? He might have a chance to give his boys a masterclass :p
