NRL officially docks 2 points over Bulldogs 14 players

Harrigan said it on the radio. I'm sure it was in an article somewhere also.

The referee didn't call held. So he can't penalise the Panthers for double movement. There was no reason not to award that try. When the referee made the mistake of calling out two, the advantage was meant to go in favour of the attacking team.

Harrigon is not the NRL

The referee didn't call held.

He called 2

Yes there was, he called 2. Because of that he didnt give the defence enough of a chance to stop Sammut

He stuffed up, thats not the Bulldogs fault. But that isnt worth a try

No use sooking, you lost the game

Get over it

You clearly can't accept that your team had to cheat to win the game and got caught out for it. Panthers had 3 tries disallowed and it still took you 14 men to win the game. Ontop of that Hazem El Masri ran the clock down because you guys were scared we would still be able to win the game.

You're just a sore loser

the 14 players has nothing to do with what you just posted for the past 2 pages.

We didn't lose the game. The points were forfeited becuase the Bulldogs cheated. Instead it was just a waste of a game.

 You're getting into Canberra fans territory in terms of bitterness.

If your attack was fair dinkum that night you would never have been in a position to lose that game. Your forwards made metres at-will and Aiton was carving us up out of dummy half. Pity your backs have NFI.

Bottom line - the result will not be overturned. In these instances it never has and the NRL will summarily dismiss your CEO's hypocritical claim to the points (on Monday "you didn't deserve to win" and now on Thursday "the points are rightfully yours"? Tell Mick to make up his mind).

If we lose the points, so be it. It's still early days and we're still only one of three teams undefeated. We're actually still on top (the points aren't stripped until after the appeal is submitted next Monday) and with a win tomorrow night we'll go clear in first, with the possibility of only one team joining us. If we lose the appeal, then with a win tomorrow night we're still up the top end of proceedings.

Someone commenting on the Tele website said it accurately - Penrith shouldn't be awarded the two points, because years from now historians will be looking back wondering how a team finished the season on 6 competition points having not won a game

Yes, you lost the game.

In all record books, for all of time, the result will always read Bulldogs 28 Panthers 26. The only thing the NRL's ruling will change should our appeal not succeed is the competition table and the amount of points we have on it.

CHEAT - http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/cheat

 Are you suggesting we deliberately put 14 men on the field to ensure Penrith didn't win?

We cheated in 2002, our management tried to deliberately defraud the NRL and all other clubs.

This isn't "cheating".

You do know there's more than one definition of cheat don't you? Like this one for example taken from the link you provided.

cheat : to violate rules or regulations

Throw in another emoticon, you're impressing everyone.

Whatever you want to call it, you had to break the rules to gain an unfair adavantage to win the game. I wouldn't be crowing about how you're one of only 3 undefeated teams.

The Storm, Rabbitohs, Titans, Cowboys and Dragons have all had losses of 6 points or less in the last two weeks that could've been prevented if they'd just thrown on an extra player at the death to score the matchwinner. Maybe they should've, then they could carry on about being "undefeated" as if it actually means something.

Good find.

Nice selective quoting Timmah. Don't let the truth get in the way of...the truth.

 You're still carrying on as if it was a deliberate contravening of the rules. Get a grip.

Some more Bulldogs cheating has come to light. Just before they scored that try David Stagg made a partial break and was tackled by Michael Jennings. The referee yelled out held twice and he got up and ran a few more metres before Frank Pritchard wrapped him up. The Bulldogs played the ball and scored with 14 players on the field.
