Maybe because i'm a dogs fan, but I can't see why POTENTIALLY we should miss out on the top 8 or top 4 because of this little blunder.
lol Bumble go back to bed, way past your bedtime
 at us "cheating"
like for some reason we deliberately fielded 14 players to better our chances of winning the game. Heck why didn't we just throw all 17 on the field?
The Cowboys player didn't either. He just stood in the backline. The defence shouldn't have to contend with a player that should NOT be there. Who knows, the defence may have slid to mark up on Roberts better if Ryan wasn't there.
I am already over it. 2 points lost because we were silly. Lucky for us it's the start of the season, and we just have to work a little harder to regain them down the track.
I acknowledge that it is our stuff up and if we are to lose the points then we cant blame anyone but ourselves, simple as that.
lolGlad this allegation is over. Can't believe an incorrect piece of commentary was the talking point of what was a thrilling game.
Ryan came off on the opposite side of the field to where the interchange took place...i thought players were meant to have cards or something which they swapped when they interchanged anyway? Maybe Ryan didn't know that Roberts had even come on the field...in the heat of the moment when the trainer tells ryan to stay on the field I highly doubt Ryan thinks to count the number of players on the field to make sure he isn't coming on illegally.
I think a large fine would be sufficient in this case, particularly when you compare it with the Broncos and Cowboys cases from the past few years. Mind you, they were News Ltd. owned teams, so i'm not expecting much...
This here shows that if our game had any consistency and any justice, The Bulldogs should not be stripped of 2 competition points. On top of that:Broncos to appeal NRL decision
Wed 14.4.2004 - Dan Koch
The Brisbane Broncos have tonight announced the club will appeal the decision of the National Rugby League to strip the team of two premiership points.
The appeal will to be the NRL Appeals Committee, chaired by Sir Laurence Street. Broncos Managing Director, Bruno Cullen, said he was extremely disappointed with the decision by the NRL to confirm the breach notice, issued to the club on Monday, March 29.
'There is not a single bone in my body that tells me the Broncos took an unfair advantage over the Wests Tigers in round three,' he said.
'And in my daily life in the period since we were first served with the breach notice - and that includes several trips to Sydney - the support for the club over this issue has been overwhelming.
'To me, the general consensus of opinion is that commonsense, quite simply, has not prevailed in this instance.
'We intend to fight for the retention of our two points, which we have no doubt we fairly and justly earned. And we believe we have grounds for appeal.'
 no.
Why do people ask these questions?
