Bulldogs 40-24 over the Titans, but there's enough there to suggest the GC will have a good season too. It was almost a dream round for keeping the competition interesting!

Saw a clip of this on social media... TBF to Jazz I think the second bottle was aimed at Barnett, so maybe that's grounds for an appeal

Yea he didnt put too much into it... the vid I saw was taken from the South stand so you could see Vaimauga and Barnett head straight for him before they even went over to celebrate with Metcalf.

All seemed in good spirits, even Jazz chucking the bottles was more in resignation than anything else. I guess the man knew he was in for a week of shit talk from his old mates lol

I can't see the Tits making the 8, there's star quality but their defense is leaky as hell.

Brandon Smith to Souths sounding reasonably imminent, maybe even a chance of this year

Smith on his podcast really talking Souths up and how much he hopes the deal goes through etc, interesting play considering he is still contracted to the Roosters and Souths are their enemy. The extra subplot being that he told Wayne he was going to sign with the Dolphins then absolutely dogged him and signed with the Roosters

Cam Smith was on the 9 show last night saying that Smith isn’t a 9, and Tedesco was a guest on there as well and agreed with him

Interesting they're both saying that publicly now, especially Teddy given there's still a chance they could play together again. Do you know if that 9 show can be viewed from NZ somehow?

I wouldn't touch Smith with a barge pole, he hasn't shown any level of wanting to be a professional. I can't cop that you would talk up wanting to be at Souths when you are still a Roosters player.

If he's not a 9, he might be a 14. Which doesn't make him worth a lot to Souths.

Getting away from the 'bright lights' of Sydney (and Melbourne) might be his best move. He doesn't seem to handle it well. If he was still a minor - and his parents could still make decisions for him - they'd ship him off to Canberra.

Yea it’s just nuts aye especially after he pissed off the Storm by doing the same thing while he was still there.

Given the shit he rightly copped for that it’s staggering he’s done it again.

The dude is entertaining and a very good player but he just keeps sabotaging himself.

He deserves to end up somewhere like the Eels, getting humped by 50 each week. I know Bennett backs himself to get the best out of the broken ones but gee, I dunno here. Unless he's on whatever change Wayne has down the back of his couch.

I think one of the nrl360 journos said the Souths offer could be around 600k. Bit of a haircut from his current deal, but given his circumstances, he’s won the lottery if that’s turns out true.

Smith probably has plenty to offer as a 13, or bench running forward coming on and ripping in

I can’t cop him as a character though, normally I enjoy his type but just something about him that rubs me the wrong way
