Excuse the lack of specific years when I mention games. Ive got a shocking memory for dates.

Warriors: Likeable? Sneaking into the finals a couple of years back and being smartarses whilst beating Melbourne before being knocked out next round.

2008?

It was the first time Team 8 had beaten Team 1, and they did it with Michael Witt in the team. They appeared chuffed more than being smartarses.

They also won their next game and were one game away from the GF.

That game where they beat Melb was that where Witt? scored in the corner but did a little twist before he put the ball down, as if he was taunting Melbourne?

Yeah thats the one. He held the ball up in the air and waited for them to try and tackle him before he put it down. Not complaining about it, I thought it was excellent.

And yeah I may have been wrong aout them getting knocked out the next round... I was actually hoping theyd take it that year since the panthers were out.

North Queensland Cowboys: 2005 Grand Final

Gold Coast Titans
: Scott Prince taking dirt from the corner of the field every game and running it through his hands.

Newcastle Knights:
Kurt Gidley.

Manly Sea Eagles: Old-school Rugby league. I always associated them with no-nonsense football, the type you'd see in the 70s and 80s.

Sydney Roosters: When Anthony Minichiello was the best Fullback in the world. I grew up watching the Roosters dominate.:x

South Sydney Souths:
Retirement home

St George Dragons: Memories from my youth: Mark Gasnier and Matt Cooper being the best Centres in the world. Was always surprised they did so poorly with them in the team. Was even more surprised they were the rep centres with how their team went in a season.

Cronulla Sharks:
Cheapshots

Canberra Raiders: Laurie Daley, Mal Meninga and Glenn Lazarus arm in arm. (no homo)

Melbourne Storm:
A clinical assassin, almost everything goes to plan.

New Zealand Warriors:
Mt. Smart Stadium and the tunnel they enter onto the field through.

West Tigers:
A Touch team with attacking flare.

Canterbury Bulldogs: Rapists

Parramatta Eels: Snobs and cheats.

Penrith Panthers: Rhys Wesser when he was in his prime.

Brisbane Broncos:
Champions.

North Queensland Cowboys: A team which has been terrible for most of there history but have a very loyal following, Also inflicting some of Penrith's most humiliating defeats, Rodney O saying Ray Mercy mercy me after scoring a hattrick in 97, then coming back from 26-0 down the next season to beat Penrith.

Gold Coast Titans
: New club seems better run then the old one nice new stadium good team to watch.

Newcastle Knights:
Andrew Johns in his prime best footballer i have seen, Very good forward pack early in there history,Harragon vs Carroll. Big rivalry with Manly in the late 90's. Also Malcolm Reilly, John Schuster,Ashley Gordon,Brad Godden. Henny Penny and BP. The only ground in NSW i haven't been too.

Manly Sea Eagles: Geoff Toovey constantly whinging to referee's about everything. Ken Arthurson letting them get away with anything pre super league, Geoff Toovey being picked for rep teams when he wasn't the best player in his position. Also Menzies running off of Cliff Lyons and Des Hasler's lion hearted displays. Club everyone hates.

Sydney Roosters: New Manly constantly take Penrith's best players only to ruin 90% of them. Not much of a team until Fittler arrived with the exception of when Gary Freeman was there, Morley smashing people in there great team from 02-04. The guy who goes to games and wears the glove on his head.

South Sydney Souths:
Winning two games and the papers saying Rugby League is in great shape because of it, Pride of the league though anyone under 50 probably struggles to remember. I have been following rugby league since 1988 so there last great team i can barely remember at all. 1994 tooheys challenge final was a good game though. Should get bigger crowds to there games also Russell Crowe.

St George Dragons: Chokers since there inception into the comp, Laurie Daley constantly talking up how great they are when they really aren't. Forwards who get outplayed in every big match they have appeared in. Also Mundine mouthing off about Melbourne not being true premiers and then losing to them 70-10 Lance Thompson's falcon from the same game being one of the funniest moments i have seen.

Cronulla Sharks:
Night games at Shark Park in the early to mid 90's. Mitch Healey's bombs, Peachey,ET and Preston they were entertaining to watch. Choking massively in 99 they really should of won it that season. Currently horrible to watch get good crowds for how bad they are. Constantly changing the name of the stadium.

Canberra Raiders: Fantastic teams of the late 80's early 90's one of the best sides i will ever see. Green Machine song, Raiders fans on here claiming young player to be the next Dally Messenger only to become the next Don Tweedle once he leaves. Unique jersey's , Currently a team which is woefully inconsistent and can't attract quality players they also need a better coach.

Melbourne Storm:
Best side since the Brisbane and Canberra sides of the early 90's. Full of quality players and have been a success they have a decent supporters base after all that has happened to them.

New Zealand Warriors:
Australian pundits calling for there exclusion from the comp if they don't make the top 4. 01-03 teams being the most incredibly talented teams i have ever seen but incredibly inconsistent. Underachieved had one of the best halfbacks the game has ever seen but could only build the right team for 3 seasons. seem to constantly need an overhaul of players. Also brought in more polynesians and such into the game.

West Tigers: Having a good first up season when many tipped them to come near last. Going to watch them play in 2003 when i said they were the worst attacking team i have ever seen, If Penrith had played at better then 10% that game the score could of been anything. Then adding Benji,Prince and Farah and becoming the most entertaining team of the modern era it will be a shame if they hired ricky stuart as coach.

Canterbury Bulldogs: Have always been a very good team for the majority of seasons i have followed the game always seem to be contenders. Also remember Belmore oval and it's a shame they had to stop playing there. Also remember the multi cultural days where they drew massive crowds. Important to the NRL and the game they seem to have more people of different backgrounds supporting them. Happy they reverted back to there traditional name.

Parramatta Eels: Really main thing i remember are there terrible teams post Sterlo and pre signing Canterbury 4. They were good awful how they never won the wooden spoon always amazes me. Since 1996 have always been a contender but like the Dragons always seem to choke though last years team revived my interest in the game.

Penrith Panthers: Majority of seasons ending bitterly and in frustration. It is usually 10% wonderful and 90% awful following Penrith have the best junior base in the league but flatter to deceive.

Brisbane Broncos:
Best run team in the NRL always contenders when Penrith won the comp in 03 the only game i was nervous about was the Broncos game, they have an aura other clubs can only dream of.

Former teams

North Sydney : Had a very good side in the early 90's but they lacked speed and flain and perhaps a better coach to win it all. Travesty they were kicked out to be honest i hope they get back as the central coast bears and take some games to NSO.

St George : A team which over achieved to make three grand finals in the early 90's a bit like the bulldogs they were always contenders, Also remember when they had Offiah and Walford on the wings they were great to watch.

Illawarra : I feel it's a shame that the Wollongong region doesn't have it's own stand alone team. They were a team which really really under achieved only making the Semi Finals twice. Had some outstanding players just never seemed to do anything with the exception of 1992.

Balmain : When i first started following league it was near the end of there excellent team of the late 80's, They really didn't do anything after 1990 they were a club which were just there always seemed like paupers had a terrible stadium. But they were always hard to beat.

Wests : Spent loads in the early 90's on Farrer,Langmack,Gillespie and Lindner. But they never seemed to achieve all that much they never seemed contenders. Had another salvo in 96 when Willis kicked the 50 metre field goal. By the end though they were terrible to be fair there front row and outside backs weren't that bad when they could get them all on the paddock. But if they didn't it was a 50 point flogging.

Gold Coast : Constantly changing there names from the giants to the seagulls to the gladiators and finally the chargers. Also remember Wally Lewis testimonial games they were fun. Wes Patten also having a good season up there.

Adelaide : Adelaide were a team which lacked quality everywhere but could of been a success in the NRL apparently they had a big membership which is something we are trying to improve now. Graham Appo having an awesome season for them. It was interesting seeing them in the comp and it was a shame we lost a team in a big city.

Perth : Like Adelaide it was a shame it couldn't work out. They produced juniors and gave them a run and had a good side on paper except in 96 where i have no idea what went wrong. I look forward to them rejoining the comp in the very near future also remember them for being sponsored by Cash converters.

South Queensland : Had completely the wrong recruitment policy going after old blokes who were past there prime to be fair the cowboys had a similair problem. remember St John Ellis ripping agro off the pupperteers hand on that channel 7 footy show. Also throwing open the gates for there last 2 appearances in the arl.
