Raiders were playing Touch footy last night.
Rapana does it especially well.
Gets touched, drops to the ground, super fast ptb, and away they go.

I like the touch footy, its not bad entertainment

they do so things that a smart nrl coach could try to do. Keeping the play the baller alive around the ruck and the nice inside balls from winger to centre.

Yeah I like how they dance over the ball in a circular motion. In stead of tapping or playing the ball with your foot

Love to see the TV rating - no one at the ground to watch it

Says basically what RL fans think.of it

Yes agreed. Additionally it is very popular with women and children and smart organisations (i.e. not the NRL clubs) would find a way of taking advantage of that for stadium and government grants or corporate whatevers.

I had read an article about the suns/adelaide China debacle. That both teams send state gov trade delegates over to schmooze Chinese business people. (Smart idea and the Nrl clubs should do something similar) They used the chance to talk to Gina Rinehart about funding afl while she was doing business in China. She apparently refused the offer due to her anti-contact sport feelings. Ahhh hello touch???? There are plenty of funding options for touch that rugby league don’t get. Let’s hope the Nrl touch are smart enough to take advantage of it.

The competition has pretty good game play.
I like the way the game has changes of tempo based on whether the attacking team is hitting it up or hanging back to draw the defender out. RL just has one speed that gets a bit boring in my opinion.
There is also some radical passing skill.

I really like the jerseys as they dont seem to have big ads for dodgie builders or banks on them.

a couple other things I like about it is that there is average sized humans and virtually no monsters.
And it has probably been around forever but those hard touches are a good aspect they almost try to push the runner over to slow the play the ball.

What play-the-ball? And they are mostly gazelles playing touch these days. In tag the body shape is constantly different all over a team. And the guile and skill is still given a chance, especially around the ruck area.
