NRL wants two conference comp

If the NRL was smart, they should go 4 conferences x 5 clubs each, bundle up that qld into a north conference, then split the remaining clubs into other conferences east, south and west, having only 2 conferences means 27 rounds, probably too much, 4 conferences will get 23 rounds that seems better, i would be surprised if they start conferences after this 18th team starts up, 3 x 6 clubs, north, east, south

Ok yeah i mentioned politis talking about perth and adelaide, but has nothing to do with your conferences or grand finals etc.
Shoryuken yourself pal

That’s because he’s a businessman. And succesful one at that, he knows where you go to sell products to new large markets and why we are $300mill down in revenue.
perth, Adelaide and Pacifica based in Wellington,
it’s not a bad 20 club footprint for the game and still leaves firehawks and Christchurch down the track for a 22 club comp.

having a ten game package for sale during the period of the 2028 -2033 deal, could even go longer, could be a real game changer for us.

Lol, he was saying let in all the Brisbane bids in 2021.
Adelaide is a large important market now..

You don't understand conferences.

Just random conferences which mean nothing for no purpose. NSW conference brings rivalries & NSW championships, but u think teams want to be mid north champion instead.
Theres no such thing as nsw conference champs..
Theres 10 clubs in nsw, it wont happen, thats a fantasy world youve created, if you think all the remaining "expansion clubs" will be able to survive without the nsw teams keeping them relevant, its the sole reason to keep so many sydney teams in the comp, qld folk follow a game between st george vs broncos as much a game between cows and titans

Phil Gould came up with it. It's a great idea, but doesn't appease dots of map ppl. They think V'Landys is going to go into Gil mode & fund non heartland teams, despiteeveryrhing we know.
Two places that watch nrl; Sydney & Brisbane. Rupert found out hard way that Sydney clubs & fans are needed

Maybe we should look to quality over quantity? With ten games a week do we need 26 or 27 rounds?

maybe play each other once, alternating home and away each season, for a 19 game regular rounds, plus two magic weekends and include a season opening nines comp, that clubs can get competition points for to keep it legit. Inc a sat night fta game.

stand alone origin and test mid season weekends

extended end of season test program.

effectively a 22 weekend nrl comp inc nines weekend
6 week finals
3 mid season rep round weekends
7 week test schedule

38 weeks of RL coverage for media

Lil, coz I piss on ur fantasies. NRL is not afl, but they going to prop up Perth & Adelaide. Keep waiting. You've been here since 2006 & see don't see it.

After watching the game so long I’d have hoped you’d have more faith in our game as a product to attract new fans and sponsors. Seems you really don’t think much of the NRL.

It an unfair advantage to Sydney based teams, and we will never see two sydney side in a proper grand final... forgot about that did you

Don't give me that tired bs
You’ve literally said unless you were born and live in nsw or qlnd you aren’t ever going to be interested in watching an nrl club. That smacks to me of someone who has zero faith that our great game can attract new customers. If that isnt having little faith in a product I don’t know what is!

afl has done it in sydney and brisbane, nrl has done it in melbourne, no reason at all we can’t keep growing and have viable clubs in perth and Adelaide. We have the product to do it.

Afl was always played in Sydney, while lions go broke every time they not in finals. Come to think of it swans haven't had many losing seasons in last 25 years.
Despite millions over decade gws did the lowest crowd average in the history of sport last year.
Bet afl fans think their sport is best. Lacrosse fans think their sport is best too..
