Time for a 2023 thread? Or mod to change the title to no longer reflect 2022?

anyways….

the DT has only 2 of the top 30 players in the NRLW playing for the Eels
24 - Cherrington
18 - Albert

meanwhile the other 28 are from
Broncos - 6
Titans - 5
Roosters - 5
Knights - 4
Raiders - 2
Sharks - 2
Tigers - 2
Dragons - 1
Cowboys - 1

So hard for a team like the Eels. We made the GF with every player on mandatory 1 year deals except for Penitani who wanted out to play for her home club who were making their debut in 23. The player drain on 4 or 5 new clubs hitting the market was ridiculous.

Nathan Brown said recently on the TCT pod that player agents have weaseled their way into U16 and U17 girls and now our successful Lisa Fiaola U17 girls squad who went through undefeated this year are being courted by every club.

Well on those ratings/numbers of top 30 players, we're a genuine shot at fifth place! Pity I think it's only a four team final series...

They often say history repeats, then with all teams having the same salary cap , the end result is the comment “the Roosters have a stacked team of rep players and internationals “.

so surprising 🙄

The Rugby League Players’ Association is proud to announce three players have joined the Women’s Player Advisory Group (PAG) ahead of the 2023 NRLW Season.

Kennedy Cherrington (Parramatta Eels), Madison Bartlett (Canberra Raiders), and Brydie Parker (Sydney Roosters) will become members of the PAG, adding to the knowledge and perspectives of the group’s current 12 players.

Like I said a couple of months ago. We sh*t the bed on retention and recruitment and gave our advantage away.
Glacier was true to his name and let so many of our stars walk. I can't believe we lost both our excellent fullbacks for starters. What a joke and one of them is playing against us this weekend. I have a sense of doom and a ball hasn't even been kicked in anger yet. Great stuff Parra. Great way to get us all excited for the new season.

So now we have a squad that will be lucky to be above 4th last. This team is going to get analed most weeks and people will make a million and one excuses as to why we are crap.

Just remember I don't accept excuses.
